Being called a plastic club is extreme cope from fans outside of these football clubs and it's a very hollow, basic insult to throw at them.

The work and effort still needs to be done on the pitch. It still requires an entire season of near perfection in English football to achieve that treble regardless of the financial means.

I'd rather be known as a plastic club that have won a treble than Tottenham Hotspur the ethical losers who haven't won a thing in 15 years.

Those are pretty much the opinions of common fans outside of both City and Spurs right now.

I'd take plastic every day of the week.
Couldn’t disagree more. What a take

It's easy to say amongst us, but when you get no respect amongst your peers, I don't know... I would probably love it, but it would be tinged with shame

I don't get the hype about Lautaro Martinez. Every time I see him play he is a bang average headless chicken.

They've threatened to drag out the court battle long enough to bankrupt UEFA, and they have way more financial muscle to compete with.

It will honestly end in a slap on the rest and the saga being swept under the rug.

Ah - the fairytale continues.

The sourness here is abit much, I don’t like City and what they stand for but the final was a decent enough watch and top level players delivering. I think Inter were excellent tonight. Plus at least the next few days won’t be about West Ham and how amazing Moyes is

What you guys don't understand is that may be the opinion in the UK, but around the rest of the world no one really gives a shit about City's cheating.

The rest of the world is so much bigger too, it's not even quantifiable.

I live in Hackney bro. That's equidistant between Tottenham and Arsenal. I don't give a shit about the rest of the world, to me it would matter, and I'm in a place where I can't hide.

I never said that, and I have no idea how you got to that conclusion.

All I am saying is the majority of football fans around the world outside of the UK couldn't give a shit about it all they know is City have become one of the best teams in Europe, and if it were Spurs most of you wouldn't care either you'd be celebrating too.

Nah.

They don't exist. Manchester City FC ceased to be the day they were purchased by a nation state. They then morphed into something else.

Nothing they win, achieve or do will ever count in any way for me. It's a meh, a shrug of the shoulders, and a "Oh Abu Dhabi have bought another trophy" from me.

I know that doesn't go for everyone, but it's why I have absolutely no problem with them winning things ahead of the likes of Arsenal, because for me it's like a default result, and the main thing is a real football club didn't win it.

There's no glory there. No honour. No real achievement. Just a demonstration of what's possible if you have no financial limits, no rules, and no morals.

That's fair in your case, but that's anecdotal in the grand scheme of things. There's plenty of people who walk around not giving a damn what anyone else thinks of them let alone the football club they support. They don't have shame.

Because your argument seems to be a very subjective "no one cares so it's fine". Which is ignoring the very reason why they did it, why it works, and why it shouldn't be allowed.

It's not "my argument", I'm just the messenger giving you the majority's side of it, and like I said if the shoe was on our foot most of our fans wouldn't be worried about it.

Feel a little uncomfortable being told the fact I disregard City's 'achievements' is irrelevant because I'm in the 'minority'.
