Not much to report at half time. Given away a few fouls. One good run to win his team a free kick in a good position late in the half.

Subbed off after 78 mins.
Hopefully just building up fitness. Would be good to see him get 90 mins and a goal or 2.

Holtby was subbed off just befor Parrott

Not much from the Millwall fans, they seem more interested in the pre game and the goal celebration...

Bennett and Parrott look lively when given the right type of pass

Bennett, Parrott, Jed and occasionally Mahlon and Malone making runs but Hutch, Pearce and Cooper simply won’t release the ball down the channels early enough.

It’s easy to criticise the front players but they have f*ck all service.

I think it’s going to be a tough slog for him. Great he’s getting minutes but they as a team are so slow in transition and final pass has been lacking in what I’ve seen. If he does start to score it is more likely to come from individual brilliance than anything else, but that normally comes with confidence.
I wonder whether they will review the loan or not. Depends if they just want him to get minutes and learn some grit, in which case it’s a good place to do that.

Been a shit loan to a shit team. Hope they recall him, and place him with a team suited to his strengths. I don’t watch a great deal of Championship football, but I am guessing there has to be three or four teams that play a bit more attacking than Milwall, who also could use another striker. Or, drop down a division. Or, maybe a team in Germany or Portugal or Netherlands would be a good fit. But this loan has been a shit show. Time to end it.

Norwich is the obvious option as they are competing at the top and looking to score goals to win games and Skipp will help him settle in. But I don't know enough about their reserve strikers to know if he'll get many games. He's unlikely to displace Pukki obviously

Playing in a 443 tonight. Looks like the rumour of a recall is helping him to get some starts

Norwich has Idah as backup for Pukki. Dont think they would give Troy much playing time if he went there

The loan is going fine. He’s played ten league matches and two in the cup, the manager is giving him chances, once he bags a goal I’m sure more will come. He will definitely be maturing and learning as probably for the first time in his life he’s having to work hard to stand out and earn playing time, not just play because he’s the most talented.

he's playing but it's not going well and their fans are really starting to tear into him.

most of them seem to think that he's just been dreadful but then a small minority say that it's because he's getting very little service, one other issue is that he's playing on the left of a front three, which isn't a totally alien position for him but really he needs to play centrally. like kane he's a passer and a finisher rather than a dribbler/runner so he can look a little awkward if that's what he's being asked to do. hopefully things pick up for him soon but even if they don't i'm not overly concerned by how things have gone for him, he has a lot of quality and it that will eventually shine through if he sticks at it.

All part of the learning curve for him - particularly if he has always been the golden boy of his group. That for me, is one of the major benefits of playing "men's football" - not only are they bigger and stronger but the expectations and overall level should be consistently higher.

Yep, I remember another young striker of ours who had a few tricky loan spells. Didn't do him any harm.
