As much as I respect Jose’s experience at judging a player, I really don’t see the harm in giving Parrott as chance in one of the upcoming matches. He’s tough and has a little bit of a streetfighter about him, and with Lucas contributing so little apart from turning over possession, how can it hurt?

The boy is clearly massively rated by the club especially with the news that he is going to sign a long term deal when he turns 18. I see the comparisons with Greenwood however he is playing out wide where you can get away with a lot more. Being the focal point for a top side is very hard work and I wouldn’t want to burden him with too much as the lad is just 17 years old.

He has a lot to learn and in time (over the next two years) I can see him becoming a regular in every match day squad, playing Cup matches etc. I’d rather we didn’t put too much pressure on him now.

Also we now have Etete in the academy who is very highly rated and is an absolute giant (6 foot 5) so it seems that when our Harry decides to go or starts to get towards the back end of his career we have two potential players waiting in the wings!

Totally agree with all of that.

Mourinho has said he can have minutes, but he's being smart to manage expectation in the current climate.

We all know he'll go from saviour to villain the moment he has a bad game, and with social media today you can really hamper a player before they get going. Especially at a bigger club.

Bringing him on against tired legs when we're 2 or 3 up is the way to go this season.

Get him some minutes and review his role in the summer.

I think they boy has everything to be massive for us if nurtured in the right why, which I'm pleased he is.

Should be getting gradually increasing minutes every game (whatever the scoreline) otherwise we might as well have loaned him out.

Be very interesting how much he features on bench. If he does then his exclusion in January was a clear tactic by Jose for a striker. 18 on Tuesday and free to sign that long term contract could be an interesting week for him.

Should at least be on the bench in every game now that Mourinho haven't got the striker he needed.

Great news if true. Needs to at least be amongst the substitutes against Southampton, can't imagine there's going to be a better time for him to break through than when he's the only fit true striker in our squad.

I don’t think the savior to villain part is accurate. Clearly we need to take care in how he’s managed and developed, but I think the fan base would be pretty grounded in the fact that he’s an 18 year old academy player as opposed to some high priced purchase. The vast majority will be very happy to deal with a lot of growing pains, just as we are with Tanganga.

Awesome news if true, hopefully leads to him being given more minutes between now and the end of the season!
