On a serious note, the problem is more about us not being able to score. I don't want to lose but losing 3-0 at home to a crap side is not good. If we lost 2-3 at least something is going right.

Defoe is a great impact player but when he starts we are shit.

Losing 2-3 at home to these is never right nor 0-3 not now or ever.
They will dine out on this as well as we won the world cup for decades this is as bad as it gets.
After all the talk about us being this and that and title contenders we finally get the real spurs back a limp gutless lacking in any guile and rank bad defending team I just wondered where they had been hiding.

everyone's been shit today, but we can't keep going into games with players like Sigurdsson and Defoe that don't offer much beyond the occasional goal. they've not been the only shot ones, but we're so much easier to stop when there's only one or two of our attacking players looking to do something other than get a shot on goal. it's now time for the likes of Lamela and Holtby to start. leave Sigurdsson and Defoe for when we're chasing games.

I think we need to start playing Sandro. This has been one of the worst performances I can remember, shocking stuff. Defoe I hope even his biggest supporters can now admit that he simply is not good enough to be a starter at this level. We need a striker, a left back and another central defender to replace Dawson in January.

If we are going to play this formation then we needed a lb who can play there natually it was a ridiculous decision to let bae go with only rose who can play there.

Since rose has gone out injured we have lost so much width and now we are again so narrow, especially with townsend cutting in. I would rather push verts to lb and see chiriches or kaboul at cb. Naughton is a solid enough rb but he is always uncomfortable at lb and I don't blame him for that to be honest.

Although Lamela has been quiet since he has arrived I think it is pretty clear that he is a rwf or no.10. Watching him play out there today he is anonomous on the left because he isnt built to play there in the premier league. We also need to get holtby in this team imo. He has shown in other games that he has a bit of creative spark and can play a pass.

Avb also has to give up this rubbish Europa League. Silverware means nothing unless it gets champions league. I would love to win europa league but the price of putting out a strong side every thursday night is dropping points on sunday. I don't want to see any first 11 players in any bigger role than the bench in the europa league. We have kids so throw them in and let them give the competition all the respect it deserves.

I am not doubting that this team has quality and I think avb is the man to take the team back to champions league but I would like to see changes in the future to prevent embarrassing results like that!
