Too much time lost to travelling pre-season. Would rather just enter 1 tournament and have something like at least 2 solid weeks of continuous training to build up fitness before embarking on travelling overseas. You can see the juniors are much fitter than the seniors as they started training earlier.

Of course not. Just think his hearts not in it anymore. Spent the whole season expecting to get his dream move and it's gone tits up. Honestly think if we can get the replacement in we'd be better off letting him go and wishing him well tbh. Pochs philosophy very much depends on everyone being on board and pushing in the same direction. I don't think CE has been in that place for the best part of a year.

Oh yeah I agree. I thought he form last season was because he was carrying an injury but now it seems it’s more likely because we didn’t let him leave last summer.

If we can get the replacements in though is key. And also not selling him to one of our rivals.

I kind of expected this reaction.

There's quite a few things that aren't clicking in our play.
1. Kane looks fit but has barely got into any scoring positions at all during this preseason except for the Juve game.
2. Eriksen looks like he doesn't give a damn and we have no idea if he'll be lining up for us next week or not and we're having trouble with getting a replacement in.
3. Ndombele has his moments but seem very lazy off the ball
4. We look dreadful when playing the diamond but Poch still insists on it despite us looking a lot better with the 4-2-3-1
5. The rightback position is a real worry. I was impressed with KWP for a large portion of the game but he's just not up to par defensively

And that's only the first ones that come to mind
I thought that Kane looked decent enough against Madrid.

Ah the standard carrying an injury excuse.

Apparently the directors box was empty and levy wasn’t there. Hopefully he’s beavering away on transfer deals somewhere.

Edit: he’s in America ???

We can only sell him to United if no one else is interested in him. Madrid are just not interested despite him publicly begging to go there

Christian Eriksen isn't and has never been good enough for Barcelona or Real Madrid. Mentally and physically weak are two things you won't get away with at the biggest clubs in the world.

My guess is, people at Real who know nothing about football wanted him, Zidane came back and said, not for me thank you. And now we are stuck with a sulking Dane.

I'm not saying he's played badly. He just hasn't created or gotten any chances from teammates since the Juve game where he had a few. That's a big worry for me.

I'm not bothered who he goes to tbh. He's a great player who has significant flaws imo. I've always been of the thought we could do better for the money he was being quoted as worth.

you are obviously trolling but Its pre season AND we have played 3 games in less than 5 days.

Also some decent perfomances: sanchez, rose and lamela played good today. Winks and Lucas were okey as well.
Yes, cracking an ill advised joke after the utter car crash this thread had turned into on the back of a 3rd game in 6 days of preseason, what was I thinking?

Next time I'll be sure to just stick to the facts of just how bad everything seems.

I thought Winks was as poor as I've ever seen him. Late in the tackle several times, and untold misplaced passes Wasn't on the same wavelength as others at times. . He does his little skip away from players nicely as per, but the reality is, with him in the side, we do not control games.

Winks wasn't at his very best but to suggest we never control games when he plays is a little hyperbolic, there's been plenty of examples.

Eriksen needs to go, his heart ain’t in it, so easily dispossessed it’s unreal just extremely weak and uninterested!

I think the club want him to go rather than wait until next season and we get nothing but there have been no takers. Either Levy is asking to much for a player with only a year to go or RM, PSG etc are just waiting until January when I believe he can sign a provisional contract for a club.

49 goals and 60 assists from 206 appearances. I don’t really fancy those kind of stats rolling up at a rival for top four and the title. If he goes, it has to be abroad for those reasons alone, not including how bad it would look to lose him to another top 6 club.

I'd be very interested to see the list of players who are better than Eriksen that we could possibly afford if we got his "market value".

What are his significant flaws? That he doesn't fly into tackles?

I agree with you to an extent, although I wonder how good he could have been last season if he had cared and we had invested. We over relied on him last year and he didn't seem ?. Saying that, if he ended up at utd that will be a completely different sort of mess for him. Although I would not be against selling him I would if we replace him with Fernades who I have never been impressed with and have big doubts about how he will do in the PL. I personally would find that "swap" a downgrade.
