The fact four players looked like they were doing the conga whilst their best set piece threats was standing in the middle of the box is the issue

Very disappointing to be a goal down at half time. We've been the better side but have failed to really test them. Had a few silly moments where we've tried the long range effort instead of look for players and I could see Poch having a go at a couple for that, which is good.
I think Chadli hasn't quite got his head in it, the foul on Ivanovic shows that even if it was a soft free kick. I'd like to see Dembele have a go down that side because they don't look strong down the flanks.

Still very much in this and have had our chances to work their keeper at the very least but we're just being too rash and anxious in the final 3rd. Dembele would hold it up and allow us to build more composed attacks.
Poch must change this early or bluescum will get another eventually.
We also need to overlap on the flanks and have drivers into the box to attack any balls coming in. I understand we're concerned about their counter but we have to take a chance or two to win this today.

Tight game, played ok, soft freekick and the fallibility of zonal marking sees us 1-0 down at HT though.
We need a big effort now, and our play in the final third needs to click. A couple of half openings, but not enough so far.

The whole notion of width is meaningless if you dont have wingers who whip in crosses with a ton of pace and you don't have people crashing the box.
The thing with Townsend is that he has essentially conceded that he won't score goals, as he has no confidence in his shooting. So his only option is to loft a high cross with no pace to Kane, who's sitting there with 4 defenders around him. We'll never score like this. At least Lamela can play one tough football and create some clear cut chances.

We're going to be in real trouble if Walker is done - Dier at RB on a yellow? No chance. We also won't make the attacking change we need (Dembele for Chadli) if we have to change Walker.

Losing Walker is a blow, seems his injury affected our concentration levels so unfortunate.
So looks like Dier to RB, Fazio on.
We need to be braver around their box get an extra body or 2 in there.
