Tottenham have pledged to help the police after three Burnley fans were arrested following discriminatory gestures at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Spurs went head-to-head with the Clarets in north London, with the hosts coming out on top to keep their hopes of a top-four Premier League finish well and truly alive.

Apparently the gestures were nazi salutes.

I remember in a league cup tie a few years ago, burnley fans casually unfurled a pretty large authentic swastika flag. This was not something they spray painted in their back yard the night before, to wind up spurs fans, but something perhaps usually hung up in pride of place at their gatherings.

So I don't think this is necessarily a pointer of things to come - they've always been that way inclined. Worrying all the same.
