Tottenham eye move for Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino

Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move for Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino as Ange Postecoglou looks to strengthen his midfield department, according to Fichajes.

The Spanish outlet claims that the 27-year-old has a release clause worth £52m (€60m) in his contract and Tottenham see an opportunity to sign him at a reasonable price.

I'd say committing a lot of fouls is a significant weakness, because the other team gets the ball whenever the ref penalises your team. It's definitely something he needs to work on.
