Apparently Pochettino demands it of the kits too...I liked the Puma kits. UA's are too "busy".

Nike arena is a step too far.
Under Armour cuts into Nike's market share in the states by the minute. The gap is closing and rapidly.this. Nike is huge in the States and this alone will bring new fans. This may not make sense to the British but few Americans have any real ties to a British club.
Tough to know who exactly are the ones leaking the kits.I think UA and us are a great match, but I can't help feel that there has been a souring in our relationship with them. On Instagram, UA regularly post about their endorsee's successes - Cam Newton, Steph Curry, Jordan Speith, Mark Phelps, Andy Murray, even bloody Memphis Depay - yet have not posted about our title challenge once, despite us apparently being their marquee 'soccer' association and being serious about cracking the market
There was a bit of a farce where one of our kits got leaked and had to be released early IIRC, maybe that did irreconcilable damage to the relationship?
I hope not because I really like UA and I think we are a good match
This Nike deal runs out in 2017 I think.
UA supply all college football I think.
Harry Hotspur reckons Nike want to buy the club. Sponsor the shirt and stadium. The whole shebang. $1.6bn
Wrt them outbidding Nike, I know, with 99% certainty, that UA monetarily outbid Nike for the big kahuna of colleges, the University of Michigan, last year. The reason UA didnt get the contract is because Michigan is a traditional Nike school and the fans(myself included) and big donors were infuriated when they left Nike for Adidas about 8 or 9 years back and have desperately wanted to go back to Nike. Also didnt hurt to have Michael Jordan personally call Jim Harbaugh to offer him becoming the first football team wear the Jumpman brand.I think people are underestimating how big Under Armour are in America. They have two of the biggest stars in The NBA and NFL, Stephen Curry and Tom Brady.
Stephen Curry is predicted to be the next Michael Jordan and it's estimated he could raise UA's worth to $28bn. They've grown 430% in the last 5 years which is spectacular. They're are a fantastic and innovative company to be associated with.
They've over taken Adidas in North America sales and are just behind Nike now and are desperate to become a major global brand. Nothing would promote that more by sponsoring a Tottenham team in the Champions League (fingers crossed).
Having family in America I came onto Under Armour not long after they started out, I'm a but of a fanboy as you might of guessed and have a vested in the company. You can imagine my face when they signed with Spurs, it was like watching my missus have it off with Emily Ratajkowski.
They've been out bidding Nike on a lot of contracts recently, hopefully Spurs might be another one!
Agree. It would be good if UA could match Nike's offer, the we could stickI really like what UA have done. Shame if it is to be Nike, for me.
On 8th March 2011 we announced 16m$USD (approx 10m£) on a 5 year deal with UA
We still have another season (till 2017) to go on with UA.
If we really going to sign 30m£ with Nike, thats the best possible contract we could get - 3 times the current deal is no brainer IMO. I hope, UA matches the offer with Nike. If they do, I really want us to stick with UA - if not Nike is the obvious choice
I know we play a dangerous high line, but that's taking the piss...So the Nike deal would start the season we move onto the new stadium?
That'll teach you to buy dodgy chinese imports off the marketThe Champions league Puma kits were probably the best kits we've ever had. Other than that, they were ok. Replica ones fell to bits in the wash for me.
Sponsor the shirt and they have their flash on it sponsor the stadium and they have their name on it, it is their stadium and we are their club, that will be the case with any sponsor but Nike push the ownership role, Dr Faustus comes to mind.Interested as to why you say this.
My thinking was that the kit could tie with the stadium which would be linked to the NFL. kind of a package deal for max revenue and exposure.
I don't think the Nike Arena would be worse or better than say, Delta Centre, Easy Jet Avenue or Cathy Pacific Hart Lane. I'm picking airlines here due to Emirites and Etihad.
