It has obviously escaped your attention that we often play three centre backs, so don't you think it's a good idea to bring in more quality in that area, if the manager doesn't consider Wimmer up to the job?

I think Sanchez can also play at right back, so makes sense to have another quality option in that area too.

I had the same anxieties about the fee, but I guess our cb pairing aren't getting any younger and now is good a time as any to start shaping the next in line. CCV and Wimmer probably not up to standard which is strange considering Poch was around when Wimmer was introduced.

Or - Sanchez is simply a slight improvement on what we've got. That's the name of the game, right? Especially when we keep coming second.

Definitely not the finished article but a very Poch player. Athletic fast young and much better on the ball than Walks.

One player I wish would get a chance is Wimmer. How he so easily stepped in Verts/Toby's shoes a couple of seasons ago. Think he has real potential.

Thanks for the nod. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this signing, just very disappointed we took so long to add to the squad. We were makeshift towards the end today, and that raggedness cost us.
