I think the hg spot will be Brennan Johnson unless we go for 2.
How is the squad shaping up HG wise, do we need to sign 2 HG's, if so then Tosin and Johnson towards the end of the window would seem likely, I thought we only needed 1 though?

Isn't the issue we have three Non HGs too many and Sarr and Udogie will join this list next season so if we plan ahead we need some more positions filled with HG to not get into trouble even more next season?

We don't need to fill the quota, it would just leave us short of a 25 man squad. Considering we can have a couple of u21s it's not too bad. It's more important for when we get back in Europe as we do have to have them for that.

We have a lot of non HG players on deals that are getting two years or less and it's no surprise that most of them are players linked away with moves.

Also no surprise that we seemingly have HG links to each position we're targeting: Tosin, Gallagher, and Johnson being the three I've seen the most.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we're fluid during the last week. Example, although I think Sanchez could prove well to stay now, I could easily see us pulling the trigger if there is an opp to move out Dier and Sanchez and bring in Tosin - it just seems to prove MORE beneficial for the club in general.

Same could be said if a club came in for GLC at a fair price, where then we could domino and agree with Gallagher, etc.

I'm not sure to be honest. If i had a choice i would prefer Tosin as HG and some non homegrown as striker.

Hey mate, I gave ITK on this earlier in the window from a guy I know at Fulham (same one when I gave ITK years back saying we were going to sign R.Sessengon).

My contact told me that Tosin is happy to move abroad or PL, his preference is abroad indeed however PL offers more wages, the issue mainly for us is playing time, he's not getting played as much as he wants at Fulham so if it will be the same situation with us I don't think he will be that interested but ofc I'm sure he and his team will be weighing everything up and all of the different offers available.

As the article says he only has a year left so Fulham are keen to sell him as doesn't look like he will sign an extension.

Also he has a bit of an ego apparently, not Spence or Ndombele levels of ego or bad attitude but he does think a lot of himself (not always a bad thing) and so believes he should be starting for a big club.

I suppose with only a week to go if the Monaco deal is collapsing and we are interested he might well consider it given he can stay living in London, higher wages and move to a bigger club (assuming the other offers in Europe and abroad aren't as attractive even with him being guaranteed more minutes)

Thanks for the info buddy, but don’t really get the playing time at Fulham part?

He played 25 matches in the league last season, and this season I’m assuming that he hasn’t featured because they know he’s out the door in the window with one year left?

Yea basically just not starting as regularly as he'd like as you say he played 25/38 matches and was on the bench for 13.

Appreciate the info. I can completely understand the unwillingness to come here if he wants to be a starter. Tbh what puts me off is what you mention about having a bit of an ego. Considering he would be coming in as a rotation option it’s probably not the wisest of moves. Tbh I don’t know why we would still be after him if he isn’t thrilled about coming. Seems to go against what Ange wants.

ah sorry, had a bit of a brainfart and mixed the fixtures up with the domestic league I follow that has 30 games

25/30 is quite different to 25/38 😝

Tbh mate from what I've heard its not ego or bad attitude like Spence or Ndombele but just thinks a lot of himself and hence wants to be a starter but who knows he might fancy himself joining as our 3rd choice knowing that as we progress as a club and get back into Europe and/or any injury to Romero or VDV and he'd be a regular starter.

He'd have to weigh it all up.

My same contact worked with Spence when he was at Fulham academy and said he had an awful attitude as backed up throughout his career by N.Warnock and our ITK's and other reports etc and so Tosin is nothing like that, I'd not be too worried about it if we signed him I think he'd have decided it was the best option available and that he'd make the most of it.

Cheers, nice one. All to play for here it seems. I wonder if Sanchez fancies the south of France???

Playing for us has a bit more prestige than playing for Fulham so that might be a draw for him. I like the confidence in him that he thinks he should start for us. That is a good thing.

Interested to see who we go for instead or whether we just keep Sanchez around.

I expect Sanchez to be superb if he moves to forest. He needs regular first team football.
