I'm not entirely fussed about the title...I mean obviously it'd be incredibly special, but it'd also be something completely unexpected and freak so I can't say I'd be devastated if we fell short. There's simply nothing to lose in that context.

Having said that, to not finish top four this season would be completely disastrous. With not one or two but three of the wealthiest clubs in the division all underachieving there simply aren't four teams that are better than us right now. Even in the context of some of the recent seasons where it looked up for grabs, this is by a mile the easiest chance we have to finish in a CL spot, and we must do it to preserve the squad and build on the good feeling at the club.

I know the end result isn't the only thing that we get meaning from in football, but in this particular season all of this has to ultimately lead to another CL adventure for it to be special IMO.

Tonight is the first time i have sat there and thought "seriously we honestly could go on and win the bloody thing" .....Arsenal are now only 2 points clear of us. We are looking a much better team than Arsenal right now with much more consistent performances. We totally battered the current league leaders Leicester in all the games we have played them despite losing the league game. We smashed city 4-1. Why can't we win it? I would still be very happy with 4th but how exciting is it right now :)

Right I've clearly lost it because I just checked the fixtures and saw Chelsea away 3rd game from the end of the season. And thought... Yeah we could potentially win the league at Stamford Bridge. I think I'd best get on the phone to NHS direct.

If we don't win it this season we probably won't in my lifetime (34)

I can't see that we'll have this strong and consistent squad with a piss poor united, chelsea and Liverpool with Arsenal and city trying their hardest to throw it away.

Really think everyone at the club should thinking about throwing absolutely everything at it now. Rest players for cups and for God sake levy/poch buy or promote some attackers.
We will be better next season too.

Remember when people were freaking out when we hired Poch because he didn't win any points from losing positions at Southampton? Good times.
Got to admit, that was one of my concerns (I was all for hiring Poch but preferred LGV, FDB & Tuchel), but I remember about this time last season we had won the most points from losing positions too and we may have even finished the season that way. I have no doubt Levy made the correct decision and can't see any of the other 3 doing as well as Poch has nor giving me as much excitement as to our future.

We will be better next season too.
Problem is, we'll be doing well to improve 5% on our budget and constraints.
United, City and Chelsea will all have new managers and will spend £80m+ each.
Liverpool will have had a pre season with Klopp and he'll add.
Arsenal will probably add another high profile player to their first team.

It really is now or never imo. Carpe Diem

You have to see it in this way too- Chelsea and Arsenal both have very important ageing players who might not put in the same type of performances next season and replacing those players will be very hard. If anything we should be aiming to overtake Arsenal next season.

I agree now is a real chance, however I think we will be in and around Top 4 next few seasons. Quality and depth of squad is excellent barring back up for Kane.
