I think last night's exit whilst expected was dissapointing as yet again we fail to deliver in cup competition.
I'm not sure how long we have been in the Europa League for maybe 6/7 year's and in all that time we are unable to get past a quarter final stage pretty shit when we consider Fulham, rangers and boro have all got to the final in recent memory except we can't.
It has nothing to do with bad luck it is simply a lack of winning mentality an enthusiasm for winning is clearly missing, last night was a classic example we had got ourselves into a winning position mainly because Benfica were strolling it but still we were chasing a third and were a tad unlucky with the chances and possible penalty.
But in time honoured spurs tradition we gave a sloppy lazy pass away in midfield with no danger on and cause ourselves problems which results in another clumsy penalty sometimes you can't make this shit up but this club does regularly and I'm really sick of it.
Supporting this club is like supporting England the passion is there you hope they can do something special but in reality both are going to do fuck all ending in glorious failure living off the past never managing to get past quarters very disappointing and sad.
