Few pieces of ITK have suggested that Levy is looking to pull off a big coup tomorrow, but I can't really see us spending £45million.

However, if you had said at the start of this window we would spend £100m+, even if it was after selling bale, I still wouldn't have believed you- anything is possible right now.

I'd love us to go all out for Baines. Fuck it, I wouldn't even be arsed if it was £20m+, we're in profit and we could easily afford it. It might be too much but sometimes you've got to pay over the odds and Everton aren't really going to be a threat with that sort of money even. I'd go as high as £18m and Benny.
He'd be great for us. Knows all about the prem, is tenacious, good defensively and good offensively and links up well with the LW. We really should have gone guns blazing for him tbh.

our left side now is dangerously weak. A inexperienced defender and an ineffective winger. At least 1 of them has to be replaced.

I agree with the posts about us having a great window and we've done great business, but I really can't see us finishing on a downer with the Bale announcement

We're still chasing a left back and a striker. Not guaranteed to happen but they're aiming high. Tom Ince is in London, talks underway.

Ade likely to go. JD less so altho his people still don't know where he'll be come Tuesday. A surprise exit could be on the cards.

Levy & Baldini going to be busy. It's Levy-time.

Two different sources. One a journo so given the amount they've got wrong so far, I'll believe it when any of it actually happens. Posted for sake of they might actually get something right once in a million years. ; )

Then he said......

Ozil to Arse is as good as done apparently. Just cos Bale deal hadn't been confirmed, doesn't stop Arse, Madrid and the agents set up a deal for when Bale did happen. So says journo.

Not claiming this will happen. Simply passing on. Hope it doesn't.

Why are we still guessing at 45 mil players? The goat elaborated that this was Benzema + ? (cryptic to come) = 45 mil

No.

"it seems we are trying for one of two players. Our source is happy for us to name one of them, which is Benzema"

Both players would cost somwhere close to 45m. One of them is Benzema. The other is cryptic. But it's not Benzema + A.N.Other =45m

We're signing only one "jaw dropping" player.

So tired of seeing these knee-jerk posts. He's been here for a month and a half. Give him time. Going from the Eredivisie to the EPL isn't necessarily the most like-for-like transitions in regards to style of play. He's got the makeup be very good.

As for Rose, yeah, he should be improved upon. Especially if we do have aspirations that exceed just getting 4th.

Seems like guesswork. Anything could happen tomorrow.

He also said: Ok, so who'd be p*ssed if Townsend left the club tomorrow?

I've no idea the veracity of his info, but i'd be annoyed if Townsend went.

Oh, God. That'd send a bunch of fans over the edge. You can make a strong case he's been our most consistently effective attacker, even if he's a little too shot-happy at times.

That's pretty true, but won't Lamela take his place?

Yeah, essentially. But if we get rid of Townsend who's going to be our backup? Despite having a guy like Lamela, if he goes down we really wouldn't have another option out there. Unless of course we go for Rodrigo who is left-footed and can play out wide. Or the reports of Tom Ince are true (barf).

Can't see the reason we'd be in for Tom Ince to be honest, can't see it happening.
Lennon already here, Towsend just broke into England setup, Holtby settled and hitting form, Dembele released of defensive duties now. And we've just signed Lamela, Eriksen and Chadli. All of these play in positions Tom Ince would/could fill, so really no need.
After the work that has been done so far this summer, Ince coming in just doesn't seem to fit the M.O.
LB and CF is about all we'll see, and that's only if we sell BAE and Ade to be upgraded.
