What's all this hype about rodrigo. Wasn't he a flop at Bolton? Scored one goal in 19 appearances if my memory serves me right. If so that's a definite no go. Also I can see hulk being the potential signing as he can play up front and either side of midfield therefore keepin soldado happy as hulk would only play there if bobby was injured.

And Paulinho was a flop in Poland.
And Piqué struggled at United.
And...

There are too many examples to list.

You realize you're talking about a kid who was 19 years young at the time?
Have you seen him play for Benfica and/or for Spain U21 (where he scored 15 goals in 16 games)?
Rodrigo has football in his genes.
He (or Muriel) would be an excellent deadline signing (in addition to an LB), imo.

I think for the LWF/Striker spot one of Griezmann/Muniain/Rodrigo would be good. That gives us Chadli and one other for LWF and gives us someone who can play as a striker so we could sell Ade then.

Forget ITK about transfer dealings that may or may not happen. Anything on Capoue?

We aren't going to pull a 45m deal out of the hat now. Don't do it to yourselves fellas, you know how this works. Look how long it took other deals to happen.

This has been a great window, we have basically swapped Bale and a bunch of shit****s for half a new team of quality options in various positions.

Possibly our best transfer window ever. Enjoy it, don't set yourselves up for a disappointing end.

After Bale transfer we have a net spend of about 0 this window. We still have glaring weaknesses in the squad and although I don't think we will spend 45 million on one player tomorrow, I will be thoroughly disappointed if we don't have a few more irons in the fire and push on strengthening.

I'd be surprised if anyone else came in. Possibly left back cover, AVB clearly doesn't rate Benny unfortunately

We finalised all our business and then announced officially that Bale is off

That's kind of my feeling on it. I think we're going to go into the season with what we've got.

The more entertaining thing for me today will be who we sell/loan.

Agree with the point but Pique was decent at United but he wanted to go back and as for Paulinho, I dont think he was a flop there.

I hate it when ITK's say its levy time, just gives me flashback of Kaka, Rossi, Aguero, Leandro and etc. all going wrong on the last day

I've gotta hand it to you chaps, you all are the masters of solving cryptics. Especially the ones that don't actually exist.

Also I think having a big man striker in the EPL is crucial and that's why I urged to sign Benteke for so long. The difference is huge!

Buying Ince makes no sense, unless we are planning on selling another one of our wingers. Eriksen and Lamela are locks as starters for our team, and AVB clearly rates Chadli. When you mix in Townsend, Lennon and Sigurdsson, where exactly is there space for Ince in our squad? Could it be one of the above three is moving? Sigurdsson would be the most likely candidate, but can we really afford to keep Townsend and Lennon both happy? I'm skeptical.

I'd be happy to sell Sigurdsson and Lennon if that money meant we could go out and grab a real difference maker at left back (Baines or Coentrao) or another really versatile left-sided winger not named Ince (i.e. Griezmann).

I would sell Lennon and buy Ince as a replacement. How much could we get for Lennon. 8m quid? If we can match the Ince outlay it is a good deal given the potential of Ince and Lennon already reaching his peak and not likely to improve.

I highly doubt a last minute mega deal. I think we are done for business, and to be honest we can't really complain for once..

Because he didn't want the move (he wanted better wages) and Villa don't want to sell?
