It is absolutely essential we go out and sign a quality DM this summer. This is the glaringly obvious weak link in the team. Someone who is going come in and go straight in the team. This has got to be our top priority...

Dunno dude. There was a lot in that post - JJ may have thought something else in it was optimistic. Not sure. This is what he posted:

DM sorted. Just a matter of time as with striker. Those are kind of close. 2nd striker may be near end of window. 2nd meaning new signing or loan to buy. McCarthy is too much money with high risk fitness wise. If we went for him would imho mean that others failed. Two oversea deals being worked on, even back up ones. All huge exciting potential. The overseas is the ones I refer to at the beginning.
I interpreted this as in 'we've isolated a DM and we're striving to discuss terms', rather than one is signed etc...

I think it was a mistake not to go after Cabaye.

In the last 2 years he has played 39 times for PSG and managed one goal and two assists. To be fair he has managed 16 yellows and a red so it's not as if he hasn't got involved .

Bullet dodged IMHO.

I fucking know that but Citeh want cheap options to shoe-in not a 25 mill options.

If they wanted MS he'd be with them by now.

Fucks sake.

Make that a fucking sticky.

Gaz. You don't sound too sure, is that why you are sitting in the fence?

Isn't that what Mitchells black box is for? finding the under appreciated players that we can pick up on our budget instead of paying a fortune for players that potentially will go the same way as the players we've been buying for the last 2-3 years anyway.

Absolutely is but does a 28 year old fit our profile of players with potential to improve?

He might not improve much individually but his experience and skillset could be massive for the team and squad. I'm sure this is being taken into account by Poch and the recruitment team.
