Apparently Origi will be allowed to leave Liverpool this summer. He would be a decent back up striker.
Liverpool surely aren’t selling to us any time soon

Why the challenge and we are mid table now ???Liverpool surely aren’t selling to us any time soon
I think they probably would if we paid the asking price, but I doubt that we would do that. They seem to have a real knack for getting top prices when selling players and I suspect they'll probably get £30m off someone on the continent.Liverpool surely aren’t selling to us any time soon
Reports today linking us to Odsonne Edouard. That could be a perfect addition for us. Think you're looking at around 15-18m for him, since a year and a half ago Dembele was sold to Lyon for 19m. Similar age/production/profile and slight "Covid Adjustment."
Additional thought on this, maybe send Parrott on loan there for experience?

I think it will also depend on how the season finishes for us - the difference between no qualification, EL qualification and CL qualification could likely be the difference in our transfer funds.I think the point is that many clubs will be in poor financial situations.
ENIC like to invest when there is a return. If this is a good time to get good deals from clubs previously in a position to ask for sky high prices then we could spend.
Possibly but I think who can sell will play a huge part as well. A lot of Championship sides will be in a bigger financial mess than the Prem sides.I think it will also depend on how the season finishes for us - the difference between no qualification, EL qualification and CL qualification could likely be the difference in our transfer funds.
Would be a very good buy, think he has huge potential. Think it would be maybe 25m as they got similar for Tierney.
I think it’s a great deal. Remember he was thought of higher than Mbappe in french youth squads. The Troy loan deal is inspired! Young, Irish. Receptive crowd. A great opportunity.I still think you have to adjust for the current transfer climate. We very well could take that valuation down by offering a player or two in return. Amos, Carter-Vickers, Parrot/Clarke (Loans), could all be options.

I mentioned him a couple of months ago actually. He looks a good prospect.
I also quite like Origi but if Liverpool need to sell him to buy Werner then we shouldn’t go anywhere near him.
Yes but the point is about having some depth. Remember it only took injuries to Kane and son to expose us. Sons injury was an impact injury so impossible to plan for, but Kane’s will be judged by the medical team as an avoidable risk (most muscle injuries occur due to fatigue or poor warmup). Kane will sadly be someone we may need to nurse through busy spells from now on. Remember how we passed on Ross Barkley because of his dodgy hamstring? There’s every chance Kane is going to play a maximum of 50 games a season from now. With Son, Bergwijn and Moura do we need Origi? Wouldn’t he just be swapping their bench for ours?
You actually watched our last several games and thought "we don't need another striker"?With Son, Bergwijn and Moura do we need Origi? Wouldn’t he just be swapping their bench for ours?
Yes but wouldn’t you say 3 players for a position is depth?Yes but the point is about having some depth. Remember it only took injuries to Kane and son to expose us. Since when has someone asking a question been understood as an opinion? You actually watched our last several games and thought "we don't need another striker"?
I’d say that all three of son, Lucas and bergwijn are best as wide forwards. They’re all adaptable and can interchange positions. But they’re all best playing off Kane.Yes but wouldn’t you say 3 players for a position is depth?
If Origi can play as a striker then fine but I have always thought of him more as an inside forward.
I would say Son, Moura and possibly Bergwijn can play as a striker. I would rather a Llorente style striker than another inside forward as I think we are well stocked in that position. I would buy Origi is we sold any of the 3 I mentioned, I wouldn't add him to the list.I’d say that all three of son, Lucas and bergwijn are best as wide forwards. So if you consider that our formation requires three forwards (a CF and two WFs). We’ve currently got Kane, Son, bergwijn, Lucas, and then lamela and Sessegnon at a push.
Id be looking for another player to be added to that group, one that can certainly play as CF.
Origi can play both positions. But I don’t get why he’d want to leave Liverpool for us.Since when has someone asking a question been understood as an opinion?
I asked for people’s opinions as I hadn’t formed mine based on not seeing a huge amount of Origi.
