I’d love to know the story behind getting parrott. We don’t have much of an obvious Irish connection as far as I know. And I’m sure he had offers from everyone most likely. Wonder what swung it for us.
I thought he was played to put him on the shop window. He played well as well I recall.I doubt they envisioned a token bench appearance. What I interpreted is that they believe he is so good he would be considered a genuine option off the bench. Lesniak was on the bench and even came on and then left 2 months later, which suggests he wasn't really considered as a serious contender so who knows why he was played. I'm sure many managers just throw kids on the bench to look like they have an intersest

Bit random if so. We don't do that to any other academy player. Lesniak had only one loan prior to that, and it was fairly inconspicuous somewhere in Easter Europe, so I don't know why we would have chosen him as a player to put in the shop window as if it would help us get a significant fee. He ended up being released anyway.
Why not do it to all of our academy players, why just him. I'd have thought a better option is a player who had a decent loan that already had some suitors, that we may expect a fee off, in the hope that if he had a good game in the PL even more people might bid for him.
And yes Lesniak did look comfortable which is no surprise, seems to be getting regular games in the Danish league which is good
Blimey Amachei looks a player.
Do we have players at the u17 tournie. Just watching it now. Not very well versed with some of he younger lot.
Very strange age group. All their attacking players are good, but I think they are all very similar, and are lacking a real star, especially without Jones there, and Greenwood.
yeah they're all pacey, direct players. it's probably bias on my part but i think they could've done with a clever little player like markanday to knit it all together.
England u18s have a tournaments in China at the end of the month.
Eyoma is the only call up. How Denny gets in ahead of Skipp I don't know. Hinds I think deserves a chance but Lamptey has had a great season at Chelsea who have won 4 trophies so fair enough, the other is Griffiths. Statistically you'd think he'd get a chance. Nmecha is very good but it's either him or his brother that floats between England and Germany but he is more talented than Griffiths. Loader is also good, but still think Griffiths has earned a call up. Think you can drop one of the midfielders to fit him in, especially taking into account Loader sometimes plays as a no.10 and even from the wing.
Interesting Poveda seems to be back in the fold after going to Colombia. Hope they do another tournament with this age group trying outout a secondary squad. Would be great to look at all of the options available for next years Euros

the u19s have a training camp coming up soon don't they? maybe skipp(and tob) will be part of that? if not then it seems strange neither are in. if i were picking this side then i'd be interested to see a midfield of skipp, mceachran and smith-rowe, think that would have a really nice balance to it.
