Even if he's not on the bench tomorrow it would be nice for him to be involved in the warm ups on the pitch to get a feel for what is essentially the biggest league game for the club.
Yeah, just being around the first team for such a big occasion will be great for him.
Even if he makes the bench, I very much doubt he'll get in the pitch.

Anyone know if there are any promo codes for Spursplay?
If I'd known they were going to be televising all our youth matches then I would have signed up at the start of the season!
Not seen any offers recently , so late in the season doubt there are any offers at the moment.
To be fair it was advertised that youth games would be shown , I think it is nearly all the home u18's, selected u21's home and away plus the odd women's game also you get away pre season friendlies .
Think for next season the 12 month subscription starts in July so not worth paying at the moment unless you are desperate.

It'll be a massive boost for Mikey to get a bench spot in a massive game.
We've obviously got a lot of belief in the lad by what was rumoured in his contract to fight off the big boys nabbing him.

It's a big step up for the lad, it's a bloody big step up but I guess he's highly thought of for a reason.
Would be nice to bring a teen through soon.
I think the last 18 year old that started a league game for us was Oliver Skipp, and he is a balding man now.

All about developing players at this level rather than just winning trophies is the thought process. Good for the players to experience a more intense knockout format.
I get that. I just find it funny in a weird way that we dominate a league winning it and could lose in a play-off system.

If we want to see the best from Donley, Moore etc then we are going to have to take a pause for a couple of years. What I mean by this is scale back the timeline some people have in their heads for the club. Maybe we take a year or two to just develop as a team and bring through these young prospects instead of being obsessed with the here and now.

Arsenal are in a great spot now and have done so off the back of giving top youth prospects regular minutes. It's taken 3-4 years of patience with these young players to get them to where they are now, but without that time investment they'd not be sitting top of the league.

I wondered what happened to him, he seemed like a decent prospect at one point. Jack Roles scores goals and all that.
Helped get us into the play-offs after being everyone's favourite for relegation. Was surprised and delighted when Crawley signed him. I do love seeing ex Spurs graduates come here. 😂

Totally agree. When we sit here and talk about how we have great talents in Dorrington, Phillips, Hall, Donley and Moore added to the likes of Bergvall, Udogie and Sarr it means that we 8 players of 21 and under who are all at the very early stages of their career and are going to have patches of inconsistencies, like we have seen from both Udogie and Sarr this season at times.

I’d love to see these players all eventually become part of our first team squad as they are definitely the players that currently have the best chances our youth teams. However, being able to have those 8 players in a squad trying to win things isn’t going to be easy.

We have some exciting players coming through. Whether many make it or not, I doubt. But with buying some additional talent, we are widening the net.

Following the under 21 teams has been great fun this last season or so.

I know the jump from talented 18yo to quality prem pro is almost impossible. So let’s just enjoy what our U21’s and U18’s are doing, support them, and keep the weight of expectation off their skinny teen shoulders.

We haven’t actually won a league because it is not a league in the proper sense . Teams do not play every other team twice. It’s like the Swiss system which will be used in the champ lge group stage. One big group where you play teams from differently rated groups within that group.
26 teams in the league so would be 50 games for a normal league .
We will only play 20.

Spent over 600m on a new team.
Saka only first choice. Smith-Rowe and Nketiah on the bench. Every chance they will sell at least one in the summer, prob Nketiah.
Not exactly churning them out like Chelsea.
Man Utd regularly have 3 first choices from their academy this season.
With luck we might get one or two from our current batch.

Yes I know it's not a proper god damn league Jesus Christ. I am just saying it's funny that we can win a "league" in the style we have done and go out in a knock out phase thing. Fuck me.

and by spending big money on established quality players to complement the younger ones.

Saliba, Martinelli and Saka you’re referring to I think

Yes, those three added to the squad players that can still do a job. I'd be happy if we ended up with 3 first team starters and another 3-4 squad level players.
