In terms of a DM wonder if we will see a resurgence of forgotten man Wanyama under Jose, he was in the training vids. If he can get back to 16/17 level he'll be like a new signing.

Unfortunately I think his body is knackered and replicating the feats and form of 16/17 would be unlikely.

Yeah when you see for example the quality of Saliba, as I say I haven't seen him and if they think he can grow to have the difference of Van Dijk then by all means but it is steep.

It's clear that Vic will not get back to those performance levels. His chronic knee issues really made sure of that.

I think we need fullbacks regardless of the system we will use. The ones we have are just not good enough

I think the over rotation stifled our full backs tbh. Playing well on a Saturday then being out for the next game in mid week is not going to help any player get any good form. Danny is a quality LB, but I agree we may need a RB. But who knows, Foyth might step up.

What's for certain is we need a ball winning CDM, that also has high quality on the ball. A tough player to find but I feel most of our resources should go on that.

Based off what @Trix said, I could see a right back coming in January and MAYBE Bruno Fernandes but doubt he’d come in winter. Honestly, all we need is a right back and this club should compete for everything José has left to compete for. The summer will be more difficult since Eriksen, Toby and Jan could all leave but if even 1 renews then we’re in a much more stable platform to improve the team.

I'd like to see Foyth moulded into a DM. He's very composed with the ball at his feet which is a great place to start. Then we should go for an attacking RB like Atal.
