From what I saw of Berge, the game largely passed him by quite easily. I don’t know if he got better 2nd half, but he just seemed to stroll about playing an easy pass, and rarely getting a foot in, bit disappointed really.
Yeah, saw a little bit and he just never got out of a jog. Played with zero intensity.

For instance he's often lazy to press his opponent when played as RW. I have noticed that many times (since Juve game to be precise) - opponent's LB has too much free space, esp. in later stages of the game

in our case it could end poorly since we have no DM to cover and Serge Aurier sitting behind him

Just to make it more precise: I think we first need to sort out our burning positions in DM/FB/CB and that's where I would spend the cash. Then goes AM and only then all the rest

Well he needs to sign the new deal thats been offered first or he'll be leaving on a free in the summer!
Or we need to start integrating him into the first team more so he sees a future here, or he'll be leaving on a free in the summer.

He’s in the squad tonight for starters

Yes, he traveled with the team and is with the squad as he's done for previous games this season. Did he feature then? No. Will he feature tonight? No. The Carabao cup was probably his best chance to get more minutes under his belt.

Yep.

Him and Brandt are just two players that would improve us dramatically.

Both could have been had for under 30m.

All this 'its hard to improve our squad' stuff is just complete nonsense.

i dont think it would be hard to improve our squad we have the worst right back in the league!

In fairness I've just picked a small crop of young CDM's but there are certainly plenty more out there. For example, one I missed off was Boubakary Soumaré, 20 years old, plays for Lille currently and is touted for big things. Julien Laurens last night on the goals show on BT Sport said he's gonna be a superstar.

Spurs need to be looking for a young, strong, athletic CDM that can get about the pitch with ease. Dier seems to have lost a step of pace (and he was never quick) and also looks less agile to me. Wanyama is broken. I'd be happy to see Skipp getting minutes but he's a little on the small side. That said, I feel like the more he plays the better he'll get so I hope Poch puts him in soon.

Florentino Luis at Benfica is the perfect player for us in this position. He’s got suitors with deeper pockets than us in for him unfortunately.

If you're talking AM there are better options in the market in my view
Like dybala and fernandes. Both better than zyiech although zyiech is certainly a decent player. Van De beek looks class too but not sure we need him really.

think we need:
DM/destroyer
RB
LB if sess isn’t one
AM to replace erisken
Possibly a young back up big ST option like we had with llorente if we need it.
