The intelligence and composure England have shown give me hope for a decent world cup run. Not enough to win it mind. They are still a long way off SA, Ireland and France.

hopefully they will build on it and be smart its a very experienced England team a lot of them have been in 2-3 world cups.

having Manu back will also make a difference and Ford was another level last night!

Well played Fiji, well played Cymru. Excellent game, and Fiji were desperately unlucky not to get more from that performance. When Dan Biggar went off I thought Wales lost a good bit of control - but Fiji were brilliant throughout. I think they could upset the Wallabies and I wouldn’t mind that one bit.

Some major inconsistencies in the Reffing already. Jesse Kriel goes unpunished for basically the same tackle that got Tom Curry red carded. There was another one in the Chile v Japan game that got a yellow card. Not good. 3 different outcomes for the same thing.

Which might work in England favour. If they can show these are ad bad or worse than curry's, they might be able to reduce the ban or get it overturned. Doubt they will though, which will just highlight the inconsistencys even more.

All joking aside if it keeps Farrell out of the starting XV then so be it!

Fiji fans near me at the game last night

If we had tried this at the Irish game we would be arrested for Health and Safety violations

It was a great result and a fantastic game to watch. If I was Fijian instead of Welsh I would be mightily pissed off with the referee

yup. However, considering wales consistently play against referees as well as the opposition (especially useless one eyed Barnes) then I’m not going to grumble too much when we finally get one who at at the very worst extremely neutral

I agree. At least it's against Chile and Japan, games england should win with their B team. A- team with Japan ;)

Will have a few more reds by the time those games are doing at this rate! No other teams will, just England.

A 2 game ban for curry.

Absurd imo.

Absolutely, but only in the light of other players getting away scott free with similar or worse infringements. TV coverage gives the authorities the ability to iron out these shocking refereeing inconsistencies but they choose to ignore it. Diabolical !

Yeah this is it.

Curry's one was replicated at the weekend with a completely different outcome.

If they want to effectively make the high ball un-challengable then fine, but at least be consistent.

It's the same as the issues we've been seeing across the Premier League with VAR this season.

I don't think many are saying any country is being singled out (apart from the Welsh obviously) but if decisions are going to be made that fundamentally alter the flow and outcome of a game, then those decisions need to be understandable and they need to be consistent.

Yep. In this case, retrospective reds should be given post match to make it consistent. Or, go with the more sensible and common sense approach and rescind it.

The inconsistency will leave players unsure on what to do in a high ball situation.
.then we could end up seeing constant high ball rugby if it can't be challenged.

France look really ragged here, impressed with how Uruguay have handled this. And they’ve just gone over again! Game on!
