Stop it.
The commentators called him an “International Rugby Superstar “
I could count on 1 hand how many international caps he’s had.
Just need to avoid injuries in these game.
Deserved to lose that. Bit if a rusty display from a lot of individuals. Pack was 2nd best all day and we got done in the set piece especially the scrum. Ken Owens did well in the loose but was a bit disappointed with Smith and Francis but there you go.
Thought North did well. Wanted more from Wainwright. Overall relatively pleased with the performance. Obviously we made some silly errors as did England but these games are about building some fitness and, hopefully, staying injury free.
Getting a bit worried about Navidi now. Need him back. I’d be playing Lee abd Dee in the front row next week with Ball and Hill in the second row (Bradley Davies on the bench) Shingler needs 80mins as he looked very rusty (understandably) so he should start.
Tomos Williams and Patchell or whoever really as long as AWJ is rested along with everyone else. Still got 2 games against Ireland to think about too.
They're about finalising the squads and building momentum as well. Wales will be rightly disappointed with that and need to do better in the remaining games. England need to maintain the boost they will have got from that performance.
No-one can rely on it being 'all right on the night'.
Yes I definitely get the feeling this match would have been much more about momentum had Wales won
Ha ha. You’re not wrong.
Technically we didn’t have to build momentum, we had to maintain our momentum but they’re still warm up games at the end of the day. As England showed you want to give opportunities to other players and try different things as I’m sure we’ll do in Cardiff this Saturday.
True. I should’ve said match fitness as well tbf.
You don’t want to peak to early though Arn ?
This is true. England managed to peak about 2 years ago helpfully.
