After watching this weekend's games I'm slightly concerned that Leicester City are going to be this year's Leicester City.
Leicester are going to have an issue with the Europa League. They do not have the depth like us so cant play pretty much two different teams . The further they progress the more Vardy is going to have to play and the intensity of his game is going to drop.

This is true, and I'd forgotten they were in it TBH.

But I do think that if one of the teams outside of the established top 4/6 is going to get in there, it's going to be them rather than Everton. Leicester just have a little more collective experience through the club at competing up there over a season.

We have the squad to win it and our attack is mouthwatering.

But its PEH and Ndombele that sets us apart to any of our competitors.

Our engine room, to coin a phrase, is absolutely insane.

We win the league and those two will be a major reason as to why.
And we haven’t seen it with Lo Celso yet either. He was the guy who made us tick last year and is always wanting to get on the ball. Mourinho was quoted as saying he wanted to get both Lo Celso and Ndombele on together but couldn’t sacrifice the more physical sissoko yesterday. I think we might see the 3 of them together against Brighton.

Yeah think it will be the dream midfield on Sunday.

Agreed with the last part. A side like Brighton who are a far less physical than Burnley is probably the ideal time to try the Højbjerg - Ndombele- Lo Celso triumvirate. I think Lo Celso probably gets an hour on Thursday and, if unscathed, we get that midfield three v Brighton.

Good result last night, and some good performances this season but still don't see us getting anywhere near the title with our defence. Sanchez is far too wobbly and pretty awful on the ball, Toby is too slow these days, and Dier although much improved is still Eric Dier. We looked fairly solid last night but that was at the expense of any creativity. Unless Rodon is an instant hit we will continue to concede a lot in the PL.

Who would you like Dier to be?

Melinda Messenger?

Everyone is conceding tonnes. We’ve actually only been bettered defensively by Villa and Arsenal. We just screwed the pooch v West Ham.

Gary Neville was saying yesterday on MNF about how he doesn't see us a title challengers because the scrappy result from last night.

The problem with these pundits is there are so unidimensional. Liverpool scrapped a lot of results last season.

I still think it's too early to say we are gonna win the league. The real test comes after this next international break.

Hate to be a downer but, funny season or no, I'm not sure you can drop 7 points at home to Everton, Newcastle and West Ham and still win the league...
You're forgetting one thing. With the pandemic, home and away records becomes much less important.

If United had have had the start we've had he would have been saying that United grinding a 1-0 win is a sign that United can be champions again.

His opinion is purely based on it being Tottenham. He even said it when he said that never winning it before was a big enough reason for it to not be possible.

Leicester won the PL despite never winning it or even coming close before.
City won it in 2012 despite never being involved in a race like that and were expected to crumble under United's pressure.
Chelsea had never won it or even come close before Jose arrived.
Liverpool only won the PL for the first time last year and were almost 30 years past last winning it.

It only takes one signing or management change to spark success.

The hole in Neville's silly argument is that we have one of the most successful coaches ever in control which gives us more 'know-how' than Lampard's Chelsea, Arteta's Arsenal and Ole's United. Pep's City 'know-how' but are floundering and seem to be lacking that desire, whilst Klopp's Liverpool are favourites they have some issues and don't look as strong. So to completely write us off is silly on his part.

If he'd have said that we can win it but need to be better defensively or stop blowing opportunities to go top before he believes that then I'd have been right with him. But instead he seemed to be trying to refuse to believe that he may be wrong with his initial assessment of Levy working with Jose.

I bet this place would be full of moaning had Son not scored last night.
Having said that, 1-0 victories after average performances win leagues.

I think that Jose wants to have at least one of them fresh for the Europa league games. So I don't think we'll see them start together until we have a week with no midweek fixtures. Maybe the West Brom game.

This is how fate and Irony works...

We are going to spend weeks building up and wanting to see this.....

-----------hojbjerg
------lo celso---Ndombele
Bale---------Kane----Son

And we will play badly when they do and sissoko will come on and get the winner.
