I agree that we do have a good and talented squad, but my concern is that Poch's questionable game management and tactics will be our downfall. Unless we up the anti, I do not see us making top four now
Of course we will up the ante. As soon as Poch decides on his preferred starting 11, and we have sorted out the niggling injuries we'll become more consistent. We have by far the best squad and manager aside from Liverpool and City. I still fully expect us to finish top 4.

Leicester don't have the squad.
They didn't when they won the title either. Weird stuff happens when a team has momentum and they look by far the most likely gatecrashers right now. I think they'll finish ahead of at least one of Chelsea and United.

But not top 4 which means they'll need to finish ahead of Utd, Chelsea and Spurs or Arsenal.

Liverpool have Chelsea and United away and Leicester at home plus a trip to Napoli before we play them. Let’s see what the gap is when we go to Anfield.

They'll beat Chelsea quite easily unless they have kante and rudiger back. Manu Utd could do them though.

Its entirely possible for social media platforms to use filters so that racist language is automatically filtered, accounts could be suspended and police informed all automatically, all this could be made legal requirement, baffling as to why this doesn't happen.

Sure, they could just ban words much like forums often do. But that doesn't make it a good idea. Just as one example, there's the word "negro". If I'm calling Tammy Abraham a stupid fucking negro for missing a penalty that's clearly racist; if I'm a Spanish person talking about how sharp I'm looking in my new traje negro I bought for work, it clearly isn't. I don't trust an algorithm to reach the right conclusion there without harming free speech or just banning ludicrous things. For instance, the next step would be racists typing "negr0" to get around it, so you have to ban words that look like they have banned words hiding in them, but then you're in for a lot of complaints from S****horpe United fans. Now possibly, one day, with a lot of work you might get it mostly working in those cases with a huge database of exemptions documented. But then you've got a black Harvard professor who wants to talk about his paper on the use of the word over time, its contemporary use in black communities etc. Are you going to have him banned and arrested for that? Because there's no way on earth the computer is ever going to distuinguish between an actual racist, and an anti-racist quoting racism. It's not just about that word either. "Queer" has historically been used as a homophobic insult, and it may well be used on Twitter against the next professional footballer to come out. But it's also a word a lot of people, myself included, have reclaimed as part of our identities and I'll be damned if they're going to tell me I'm not allowed to use it any more - as Spurs fans I'm sure we can all see the paraells with "Yid" here. Fundamentally I don't want any automated system or the impossible compromises that come with it, I want the companies to invest a fraction of their ludicrous revenues in actual, well-trained human beings to prompty review any complaints and take proportionate actions.

(Edit: How ironic that the only one of those words SC actually has a problem with is S****horpe!!! I think that says it all really)

Especially as we have zero momentum at the moment

Too early to write ourselves off. We have to play Liverpool twice plus we have a very forgiving second half to the season but if the mods want to give into the pessimists so be it.

Halfway through last season there was talk from the pundits we would be challenging the top 2 for the title and it was unlikely we would get through to the KO stages of the CL. We got 4th place by the skin of our teeth and got to the final of the CL!!. Isn't it a tad early to be making predictions? It turned out to be a load of bollacks.
Rather than predictions, I shall simply give my hopes - we will be top 4 without too many nail biting games, win a cup and get to at least the quarter finals in the CL. I still think all of that is a possibility despite our start giving the doubters ammunition to start having a go so early in the season.
