Can't beat Bournemouth, Everton or Southampton....no chance we can beat anyone half decent either.

This isn't a race for top 4 anymore, think we will genuienly finish 8th, Liverpool and Brighton got games in hand, Villa are in red hot form.

This post suggests you think that we're going to pick up a similar number of points as Newcastle in our other matches and I'm sitting here looking at our remaining fixtures and seeing barely any points at all, let alone keeping pace with or gaining on those above us.

Code:
 Newcastle United - Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur - Manchester United
        Liverpool - Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur - Crystal Palace
      Aston Villa - Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur - Brentford
     Leeds United - Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle away... Forget about it - the atmosphere will be incredible (for them) and we're shit away.
United at home... Maybe. They'll be without both of their first choice centre backs but if we're going to cower in our own half for 90% of the match does it matter?
Liverpool away... Nope. We don't beat Liverpool at Anfield and we're shit away.
Palace at home... Hodgson has them out of the rut they were in, could go either way.
Villa away... Emery has them flying and we're shit away.
Brentford at home... Not seeing it but they're on a pretty awful run themselves.
Leeds away... We're shit away.

So when you say one match is going to decide it, it's fair to say I'm not seeing it.
Stellini referred to it before the Bournemouth game as 8 cup finals.

Based on current form from and including the Soton game I think you're being extremely generous saying we will get near or will hit the 60 point mark.

Personally again on current form I would struggle to find a side right now in the PL who I would say "we'll beat them ". Forest and Leicester at an absolute push and even then I'd say it would be touch and go on what I've seen of us in the last 3-4 games.

If I put money on each of these 7 games on us losing it gives me no pleasure at all in saying that I'm confident that I will be in profit. I may even try it as an experiment.

If the players had pride and determination in their performances they'd be busting a gut to prove Conte wrong in what he said in his outburst by knuckling down sticking two fingers up at him and showing him on the pitch where it matters that he was wrong ! I've seen no evidence so far that collectively we have that steely and collective determination to do our talking on the pitch by converting it into results and proving him and all the doubters wrong.

I also think we'll finish 8th. Don't really care at this stage as feel the season is over...my energy is going into supporting City to beat the goons.

This season truly can't end soon enough!

Essentially we are in purgatory right now, enduring matches as opposed to relishing them.

I think finishing 8th would be ideal for the new manager. Week between games to work on his system, full go at domestic cups and finishing 5th/6th would show improvement.

It’s going to be so depressing when we finish below Newcastle, Villa and Brighton. Also, it’ll be depressing to lose 8 cup finals in a row 😂. Actually it’s probably 11 or 12 by now.

Next season could be nice though....few new signings in summer, new look defence, new manager who plays attacking football. Could be a lot to get excited about. COYS.

Forget top4, I genuinely think we might finish 8th. Look at our form and our fixtures and others around us form and fixtures, we are in free fall whilst all around us are on fire.

8th is what we deserve after this mess of a season.

It's amazing that if somehow we win on Sunday we have a decent chance of sneaking 4th
It’s almost like you literally don’t watch how we play sometimes lol I admire your optimism though, don’t let miserable bastards like me put you off 😂

We will finish 7th at best but more likely 8th.

The only chance we have of 7th is if Villa’s form drops right off as they have a touch run in.

If we don’t get Europa would people prefer Conference League or nothing?

It might offer a chance to blood some youngsters but I think I’d rather avoid it altogether tbh.

We aren't getting top 4 so I'm hoping for 8th. New manager gets just 1 game a week to implement his ideas and it helps keep the squad fresh.

We have been in such a false position in the top four all season purely because of other teams having their fixtures delayed.
