Yes, but most of those posts are by you.

As far as I can see none of them are by me, there are more recent ones by me reminding people of how poor seatbooker was, but if you look at the earliest results from when we still used seatbooker none of them are by me and as far as I can see they are all negative.

There is obviously a reason why seatbooker lost every single major sports club that they had as a client, because their system was so poor. If you want to go back to the days of sale times being delayed, having to send faxes for refunds for tickets you bought but were never allocated or racking up huge phone bills from contacting the ticket office because the site was unavailable then write to the club, but I don't think you'll find much support from the people who actually remember how infuriating the system was.

I for one am glad we're shot of ticketmaster and their awful seatbooker system, I know the current one isn't perfect and the ticket office can be a pain in the arse, but it's a damn sight better than it was when we had that pile of crap. This was actually one of the times when the club listened to the fans, eventually, although they gave some excuse about it being because of unsold single seats due to people being able to select their seats, although maybe there is some truth in that as they have again dropped seat selection this season.

I suspect as long as Spurs carry on selling out pretty much every game they're not going to worry about the ticketing system, they still get their money, so why spend money revamping the ticketing software when it's not going to bring in any extra revenue?

Like these ones, for example;

Although that there's only two pages of search results suggests it doesn't come up very often now as people have got used to how crap the current system is, but it appears we've covered this territory before.

But like I said, I never had any problems with Seatbooker, except for the Chelsea game back in November 2006, for which I switched browsers and had booked a ticket within five minutes. So that may have even just been a browser problem, rather than a Seatbooker problem. Of course, I'm not trying to pretend no one had problems with it, but at the same time I'm sure you've read through the multitude of threads (usually whenever any game of any kind of stature goes on sale) with many people banging their heads against a wall with the current system. Those problems where it times out, or crashes as you're trying to pay and you don't get confirmation, yeah I've had that plenty of times. Or the time I gave up on the League Cup game against Arsenal the season before last after three hours in a non-moving queue.

The thing I don't like most about the current system, which was changed last season but now seems to have reverted back again, was that you can't choose your seat, or row. Which I'm sure results in loads of people selecting tickets, then dumping them to try and get seats closer to their preferred area which both prolongs the time other people have to queue for and leaves large amounts of tickets in limbo where they're not being bought, but appear to other users as sold until they get released back. Which sometimes seems to take an awful long time. I don't know why they've changed it back, it seems a lot of people liked that. It's not as if other ticket booking systems (albeit I've only seen on a much smaller scale) don't have systems where you can select seats but not leave single seats isolated. I think this feature, in theory, should speed up the process.

Although don't start celebrating yet, we're not shot of Ticketmaster as they power our eTicketing service. ;)

But yes, unfortunately whilst the demand for tickets so emphatically outstrips the supply, the club doesn't really need to do anything about it, as the few who may decide not to bother will just be a drop in the ocean. I can't imagine they haven't had complaints about the system (I'm pretty sure I've complained before, actually) but it wouldn't surprise me if they don't plan to make any significant changes until we have a new stadium. Which, unfortunately means another four seasons of taking hours just to get tickets.

Yes, like those ones by me a couple of years ago, but there are some from 5 years ago when we still used seatbooker and none of those are by me and I can't see a single post saying anything positive about it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't really like the current system, it's just that in my experience it's a lot better than what we had before. I still find it hard to believe you only had one problem with seatbooker, I know that for most big games the sale would be suspended until the afternoon or the next day, which was a problem that affected everyone. I remember on a few occasions actually taking the morning off work to get a ticket in person because I knew seatbooker would crash within seconds of tickets going on sale and the phone lines would be jammed. I know they introduced a queueing system towards the end which helped alleviate the crashing problems, but it still didn't stop them taking your money and sending a confirmation e-mail only to be sent another e-mail in the afternoon saying there had been a problem, then you had to fax or send a copy of your bank statement to get a refund and you'd be left without any tickets.

I never realised eticketing was also a ticketmaster product, but having done a little digging it does seem that about half of all Premier League and Championship clubs use it, so it seems we're not the only ones in this boat.
