Quite amused by Roy Keane basically telling an autograph hunter to fuck off cos he's watching the game.

Also surprised he'd be there in the first place. I just assumed he'd see this as a stupid American circus and have no time whatsoever for it. He's a very odd bloke.
Roy Keane is a big NFL fan. I’ve read that a few times and think he’s even spoken about it a little bit.

Anyone read about this?

That article seems to be somewhat confused. The NFL surface isn’t ‘meshed together’ - it’s always there. The grass surface used for football is the one which is meshed together. The whole article seems to be based on that misunderstanding, one vague comment reported by PFT and a freak injury to Lewis Cine which - if you’ve seen the replays - was seemingly due to the player losing his balance and bearings whilst flying through the air at speed and so I struggle to see how it could be attributed to the surface.

As an avid Vikings fan (who Lewis Cine plays for) if there were any suspected link between the injury and his leg break I would probably have seen/heard more coverage of those concerns somewhere.

That's why I posted on here as I was hoping that people with more knowledge than I would provide some reassurance!

That’s not entirely true.

the NFL field has to be “pieced” together to cover the rails. I think the concern centers on those strips, and whether they create seams or anomalies on the field.

Vikings finally going to win the NFC North or will Green Bay find a way to come back?

Remember a few years ago when we were challenging, us, Green Bay and Vikings were all semi decent, now its probably the worst division going:cautious:

The whole NFC is pretty weak aside from - shockingly - the NFC East. The West and South don’t have anyone over .500. The Eagles look legit contenders and ought to bag the Number 1 seed in the NFC, but it will be a big surprise if the AFC champs don’t go on to win the SuperBowl.

Yeah NFC looks poor. Giants have been the surprise package this year, grinding out the wins. Be interesting to see if they can maintain this form.

Went into this season new to NFL and Started following vikings because I read an article where they were described as the premier league equivalent of Spurs. Seems like I picked a good year to do it then eh?

(Still unsure of many NFL rules...like what even is this bye week we've qualified for ?!) ?

Don’t jinx it! But yeah there are similarities between the Vikings and Spurs. Saw a stat last night that we’ve been involved in more games decided by fewer than 7 points than any other team since 2015. Last year was insane in that sense but we generally came out of those close games with a loss.

Every team gets a bye week but they take them at different times between Week 6 and Week 14. Teams generally want their bye week to be somewhere in the middle (Weeks 8-11) so ours is a touch early. It’s just to give teams a chance to rest and for injured players to recover.

It wreaks havoc with your fantasy team though!

I'm the same. Went in just picking Dolphins for no other reasons other than I liked the colour of the kit. Then i seen Jefferson play a bit and though hmm I like him, I'll follow them ?

Then i watched the Eagles a few times and I've fully got behind them now(not just cause they're winning) but I just liked the way they played at the just go for it attitude they have. They're the only team I've watched where I felt like a can watch full games and enjoy it regardless of the result.

Let's go Eagles!!

The Giants are very well coached but lack talent. The Ravens are extremely talented and poorly coached. They have been for years. It was interesting watching the contrast between the two teams yesterday.

Where has the optimistic rating gone?

Managed to get a nice £31 return from £2 bet builder in last nights thriller. The quality of games this year is very poor

There is an unusual level of bad play calling combined with bad QB play. Hackett and Staley have probably been the two biggest culprits of the former so not surprised that last night was hard to watch.

I’ve noticed also that only Saquon and Nick Chubb are having really good years at Running Back (although Breece Hall and Walker III look set to step up too and the Eagles ground game has been strong in general). From the games I’ve watched defences seem to be doing a better job of stopping the run than the last couple of years and that’s putting more pressure on QBs and OCs to deliver on 3rd downs and they’re falling short. I might be wrong though.

Saw something earlier that fantasy scores are 22% lower than what they have been in previous seasons at this stage. So yeah offenses are really struggling to get going whether its the passing game or rushing game.

I dropped the Panthers defence because I thought the Bucs would respond... they scored three points.
