mmmm I think if we won out we would be deserving, we fucked up during a rough period, and if Nagy and the players turned it around to finish 10-6 that'd be a fine thing.

As it's got less than a 5% chance happening then this season is a bit of a loss, but I feel last year was lightening in a bottle, and there was a vision for a more progressive build set up. Still we've made most of this season look far more difficult than it should have been in places. Roll on next season because I think both the FO and Coaching team (aswell as Mitch) will all be on the hot seat next year if we get off to a poor start.

I dunno, we have stumbled our way through the season, if we won out then ok you could argue we deserve to be up there but some of our performances this season have been disgustingly bad.

Nice to still have a chance I guess, I remember not too long ago that our season was usually over after 10 games....so at least we are finishing strong to hopefully go into the offseason, work on a few things and come back stronger next season.

Lamar Jackson for MVP. Conviction of sticking to your guns when drafting with a vision. We'll see if that equates to a Super Bowl appearance this year.

Talk of us taking up the option on Trubisky and his 5th year option - looks like next season will be all or nothing.

Oh no....:inpain:

Hes a great QB....against bad defenses. Put him up against a tough team and he struggles. These next 3 games will see where he is at, if he can hold his own and put in some good performances then fine, go away, work on it and see how we can do next season. But it feels like we are just going to waste this defense we have.

Well, I don;t think it means we won't look at bringing in competition I would hope this FO has learnt from others that you don't progress if you stand still at the most important position on the team. I'd like some consistency though, Lovie brought us stability for a good few years and we did compete, time to return to that for me.

If you're talking about Trubisky I don't think I'd go as far as to say he's even "great" against bad defences. He's an OK young QB who's had some good spells and some terrible spells. But even at his best I personally wouldn't say he's ever been truly "great". It speaks volumes that in virtually every category you can think of he ranks in the bottom half of NFL QBs.

I like the guy and he's obviously going to be around for a while so you may as well get used to him, but I'm still highly skeptical that he's ever going to turn out to be the long-awaited franchise QB the Bears were hoping he would.

Tampa Bay and Lions last year he was the best player on the pitch. This year , again against Detroit he was one of the best.

I would say he has had a handful of very good performances for us but all against trash teams. Which is a huge issue, it's like having a striker who can bang them in against the bottom half but then never turn up against the top 6. We've been there before....

I don't think he has the mentality to do well against a tough team either, I just can't see him ever leading us to a superbowl, whilst a defense can carry you there....you still need your offense to at least put 2/3 scores on the board, something we have struggled with this season. We have scored less than 20 points on 7 occassions this year....awful.

BTW this D is not as good as last years D and will take a hit come the end of the season when we have to replace a starting Safety and corner.

Like I said, last years D was lightning in a bottle in regard to the turn overs.

Mitch has been a problem this year, but his line has regressed, his receivers have had the drops and we have about 6 TE's either on the active roster or on I.R - Mitch is part of the problem this year, but not the only one.

Like the media over here, it's the same over there - that and everyone obsessed with the % and stats. Sometimes you just have to learn how to win as a team.

Yeah the D has dropped off but is still a top 10.

Another issue we have is that last year, GB and Vikings were utter crap, this year, they've both stepped up and its now the toughest divisio in the NFL.

I think the Packers are better, couple of stand outs on both sides of the ball and they have gotten their usual help from the refs ;)

The Vikings and the O seemed to figure out Cousins limitations, also his strengths. Amazing when you can run the ball, and offer him help down the seam to open up the outside.

I think some of our fans forget just how bad we have been this decade barring I think that blip under Trestman for about half a season, we've been shit since Lovie got canned. Be nice to try and remember that, but fans gonna fan.

Yeah as I said before, I am just happy our season is still alive (although barely) with 3 games to go. Keeps an interest.

I just hope we go and blitz the Packers this weekend, make it REALLY interesting.

Better hope Floyd continues to have his best games against the Pack. Also freezing conditions are in store looking at the weather forecast. Sadly, nothing but a loss for us is in store this weekend, doesn't mean the team shouldn't play hard, quite sure the Vikings wouldn't mind us knocking seven bells out of them before they have to play them I think. :ROFLMAO:

Nothing as serious as he has suffered against the bears in previous seasons, then again he has been protected a lot this year.

Not that the Bears would ever partake in something so under handed!

He'll be fine. :sneaky:
