What is going on with the naming rights? we are either completely pricing firms out of deals, or we’re keeping it for potential new owners. Only two options that make any sense to me why we would choose to ignore a few years worth of solid income.

Presumably because Levy is valuing the worldwide exposure the brand Tottenham Hotspur is gaining from the stadium more than any offers we have had from potential sponsors so far.

This is how i understood it as well - although the naming rights was obviously seen as a very lucrative thing to have, they've been slightly surprised to see that it's actually been very lucrative having the 'brand' recognition of Tottenham Hotspur associated with all the events, rather than a named sponsor.

More spin here than on a Roberto Carlos freekick :p

He was brought in to do one job and he hasn't done it. Lots of people have been telling us for months that we wanted him out.

As with most things with Levy, this is another case of failing upwards and getting lucky. It wasn't the plan but it's how it's turning out after the plan failed.

I don't think this is a big blow at all but will be interesting if we look to a replacement CCO or will we promote from within - perhaps even Munn assimilated this role.

Off to join the Chris Farley circus at Chelsea. Don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out.

lets be clear here, Chelsea have done us a favour. He's literally done nothing of note since he got here. He promised the world and delivered nothing.

I know a guy who worked in the marketing department at Spurs briefly, and he told me everbody hated Kline. He was one of many that left because of him. The pressure he exerted on people went well over the acceptable, and he was a thoroughly nasty man.

If it's of interest, a lot of staff also feel the same way about Matthew Collecott. Levy is very well liked and respected though.

Hate to be cynical but I now can't see a naming rights partner.

Initially because of the price wanted but also what Levy said in an interview on how Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gives exposure to the club.
