To be honest i'd much rather stick with the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

i'm sure people use us not having one as a stick to beat Levy with rather than actually wanting our stadium to be called some corporate tosh.

20m a year is hardly going to turn the fortunes of this club around.

We won’t get near that. Barca couldn’t get anywhere near that.If we get it done eventually it might pay off most of the stadium interest per year.

Not sure we need to replace someone who has had very little meaningful input. I think we have too many chiefs at board level as is tbh.

Would happily keep the stadium name as it is atm. I hate the thought of being named after a brand. We make enough profit already & feels like it grows the brand(The club) and opens up a new audience and exposure that will generate profit in other ways.

I can’t see how anyone could think naming the stadium could be value for money, you have to be super rich, super stupid or super egotistical. I can’t see 40million to 200 million Spent on a stadium name could generate value for money at all.

Before people say Brand recognition, how many times are most people going to hear the stadium name, it has to be money badly spent.

p.s unless of course, if you’re working for Google or Amazon right now and then marking departments then it’s a great idea.

Call me naïve.

But not sure I care about the money. If we can't rename it White Hart Lane then I guess having the stadium named after ourselves is the next best thing.

Kline sounds like the German word for 'Little';

Todd sounds like the German word for 'Death'; and

Little Death (or Petite Mort, if you like) is a euphemism for orgasm, or that slight loss of consciousness following it.


And yet, sadly, Todd's role never reached a climax for us (in that he never sold the naming rights).


Was he asleep on the job, I wonder?

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium sounds almost perfect to me. It’s perfect when we find someone to pay naming rights to keep the name valid. A bit similar as Mr.Kuehne did with HSV and Volksparkstadion.

Everything about that guy’s vibe was off. The sort of schmoozer who maybe got some big deals across the line in the US when the money taps were on 10 or 15 years ago. Big failing upwards energy.

For Uefa competitions, the stadiums can’t use their brand names.

e.g. Bayern’s Allianz arena is renamed to Fußball Arena München.

The Emirates is known as Arsenal Stadium.

So there doesn’t seem to be much benefit for sponsors either.
