I think you underestimate how difficult playing at that stadium is.

Good point. I didn't factor that into that post but that doesn't change the thrust of the post. i would still say he picked the right people and put them in the right spots and i hope he learned. I suspect that red star got their tactics wrong but wasn't watching them close enough to say so. Thanks for the correction though

Please please please let this be the catalyst for us and Poch. I’ve been vocal in my opinion that his time was up but nothing would make me happier than to be wrong and see us kick on again. COYS!

Exactly this. My main reservation and the main reason I thought it was time to change, is that he hadn't seem to learn from past bad performances. The best thing he can do is keep this team (more specifically the midfield and forwards). Toby and Davies in for Dier and Rose wouldn't upset me.

We HAVE to continue with this winning side! Confidence and all that. International brake after Saturday. That is where I personally believe we went wrong when we won 5-0 at hike. Need to build momentum, and team confidence. You cannot just go and change anything for Saturday.
Ideally we would but we don’t live in an ideal world. A lot of good minutes under the belts of signings NDombele, Sess, Lo Celso, returning players Dele, Dier, Foyth. Is it really wise to throw them all in for back to back games? Rose was everyone’s problem with the starting lineup so Davies is an option too. I wouldn’t say there will be a lot of changes but I’m sure we won’t start with the same.

Thank you Hercules, I agree. It’s what we’ve all been saying for ages so not sure why so many are suddenly disagreeing. Even Rio Glenn and crouch said the same thing he needs to keep a consistent team now.

only possibly needed change may be dier as he’s not played many games for a while otherwise no reason that same XI can’t start again on Saturday and if a few are tired then get Lucas erisken etc on after 70 mins if needed.

gazzaniga - fine

Foyth - been baxk training for ages and played for Argentina, can easily play again
Sanchez - beast
Dier - mabye needs to be swapped out for toby due to lack of matches but if he can play again then start him
Rose - can play 2 games in 4 days, he’s 29 not 39 and he was rested in last league game!
Ndombele - not like he broke into much of a sweat
Sissoko - machine
Lo celso - came off with a few mins to spare, needs match sharpness and rhythm, start him again!
dele - needs games for form
Son - it’s sonny he plays about 4,000 games a year he’ll be fine
Kane - it’s Kane so he’ll play.

So please people who disagree why do we need to fucking change the team again? That team + sessengon is our future, they’re all now fit and they just got us an extremely impressive 4-0 away win keep some consistency poch and play them again and I think we will reap the rewards and have turned a corner.

Which is? That you have already made your mind up so are now looking for any stick to beat him with? I get that point very clearly thanks.
You’re missing the point again. I don’t have an agenda that’s bollocks I’m stating what a lot of us have said repeatedly for the last few months or longer that he needs to stick to the same team and system where possible. Let’s see if he does.

not sure why you’re getting a bee in your boney honey.

I know its one game you naysayers, but this team looked shit hot. Stick with the man. He knows what he is doing. That wa s the best team of the year bar none. We can turn this around.

He’ll have to rotate again. A lot of players got some time under their belts after playing very little. He’s easing players in despite being under pressure and with the Christmas fixtures around the corner everyone will need to be up to speed. Without getting too far ahead of ourselves a last 16 spot is within sight. A strong December can see us back in the chasing pack for a top 4 spot. Don’t need to blow that all now by throwing everything we have against Sheffield United.
We have one more game before the international break and this team was able to coast for the last 30 minutes of this match. Unless someone has picked up a knock, or an injured first choice player comes back, there's no reason why they can't play together again at the weekend.

Apart from the ones I listed. Anyway, we could talk about it until we’re blue in the face. Let’s see what happens.

Congrats, I think that's the first negative rating I've given in about 10 years.

Are you going to answer why you wont congratulate Poch on a good win?
Thank you, do you want to come down off your high horse now?

I think the win was fantastic and impressive given the fact that’s an extremely hard place to go and score goals never mind get a win, hats off to the boys. BUT YOU’RE MISSING THE POINT, Poch needs to keep the same system and where possible the same line up to keep some consistency and rhythm and confidence, let’s see if he does.

that ok for you honey?

Bit optimistic to think Sheffield United will give us such an easy ride anyway.
100%, it’s going to be a HUGE test. Massive game. IF we can keep the same line up near enough and get a win that’ll be a massive confidence boost for the boys and we can really kick on from there.
COYS.

You keep saying that but I think you're the one missing the point. You should calm down and take a breath and actually READ the posts that oppose yours.

And if the 6 players I mentioned struggle to do 2 games within a few days and Sheffield United overpower us everyone will be delighted that they’ve played so much nd head into the international break delighted with the fitness. Provided they are fit.

That's absolutely true and quite rightly so but just for a moment imagine you are the Sheffield United players and you've just seen last seasons CL finalist spank a team away who are notoriously difficult to score against - might instil a slight doubt or two?
