I like him but I wouldn't be against selling Trippier and promoting KWP
Where he played right back. Now think back to the Newport game where he played left back.

If Rose is out this is the perfect game to play KWP and keep Davies fresh. think back to his MOTM against Newcastle...
Similar can be said about OnomahI wouldn't play KWP as a left-back at this stage of his progression as I feel would be counter-productive.
He needs a run in his proper position to gain confidence and once he is hopefully established then maybe he can help cover the left (although I still feel this is a waste and we should be ensuring left back is cover by left-footed players).
With Trippier going to the WC, safe to say that Aurier and KWP will be with the team for the entirety pre-season schedule. Good chance for KWP to get vital minutes and force his way into the RB rotation.
I'd be amazed if Tripps misses much of pre-season....
Depending on how well England do at the WCup, he could miss a big chunk of the pre-season tour.
My point exactly ?
i wouldn't sign if i were him, at least not until one of the other right backs have moved on.
I would. He's here for 2 more years at least, might as well make more money. All that extension does is make the club more money if we sell him.
Personally I don't rate Trippier at all, positionally he's awful. Crossing the ball into the box going forward is a strength however tracking back tackling actually defending not for me.
disagree with that...would sell Aurier and keep Trippier and KWP.The upside with Trippier always used to be that he could put a killer ball into the box. He could hit the thing first time with accuracy and pace. However, he now seems to have morphed into what Walker was offensively, i.e. gets into a good position, stops, has a looks around then picks a safe sideways or backwards pass. On the odd occasion he tries a cross it gets picked off or blocked. If we could get decent money for him I'd be all for KWP getting a shot at RWB.
Did I not months ago explained we were offering him fresh terms, but he wanted very strong assurances playing RB? Tripps is the most likely to go, not SA!If he signs he needs assurances that he's actually going to play next season and if that's the case then one of our current RB's needs to be moved on, my vote is Trippier.
