King, Woodgate, Bale, Lennon, Keane, Berbatov.

Top four contention quality:
Robinson, Dawson, Chimbonda, Malbranque, Huddlestone, Jenas, Defoe, Bent.

Personally I think it's too early to tell how many players we may, or may not, be short of to challenge for the top 4 - or higher. Ramos has only been here a relatively short time and already we've seen some great improvement in most of the players - JJ, Lenny, Steed, Teemu, Jamie O in particular so if it continues in this vein we may already have a better squad than even we realize.

Of course the addition of the likes of Wooders, Hutton and Gilberto will improve us where we need it most but as to the rest of the squad I firmly believe that we may already have the required parts.

I've always been a big fan the rampaging Finn, but would readily acknowledge that, for all his effort and team work, he could only ever manage 70 minutes before he was blowing out of his arse and needed replacing. Now i watch him and, yeah, he still leaves the field looking f*cked, but now it's after 90 minutes, and he doesn't flag nearly half as badly as he used to and not a patch on how Steed drops off in the last 15 minutes.

I really am impressed by how improved our entire squads fitness is under Wendy - he's apparently working a charm on their stamina, so thumbs up from a cynic for appointing that crazy, bull-fighting nutritionalist - i think Teemu, under Ramos, can only go from strength to strength :up:
