i mean in hindsight yes, but clubs arent a store card? and with all these supposed loans to buy ( romero/traore) how would that affect summer spending?

I don’t see much point in speculating. It could be anything, from naming rights, to another run at the super league. Point is, Trix can’t share it publicly right now, so we should all respect that.

So we're negotiating to get a player on favourable terms rather than stump a great wad of cash and coincidently a story hits the papers that we haven't got a big pile of ready cash and people immediately jump to the conclusion that we haven't got any money.

Yeah they more than likely wouldn't like to but as we are Spurs we think we can get whatever we want at our terms and wouldn't care if we fall short in the end - it will be always be the same 'we tried'

As it stands, it is highly unlikely Levy can afford the asking price for JL's stake. I'm not sure he could even raise the money with help from the City

Don't really see the point in that, surely all that would do is stop selling clubs wasting time negotiating with us?

I know it gets said a lot and I'm not suggesting put press out saying we are spending big. But if you owned player X and were happy to sell for the right fee would you enter negotiations with a club with no money?

To clarify I mean us putting out snippets that we have no money, I just don't think we would say anything. Either it is true and has been leaked or Law is putting 2 and 2 together due to us wanting to loan players.

Telling everyone we're skint doesn't make sense either. It's not like clubs will lower their asking price cause they feel sorry for us.
