So just to confirm, you’re complaining about a joke that you’ve taken in a way other than which it was meant, and had been deleted before you’d finished complaining.

In the ITK thread.

Maybe a nice PM conversation would be more appropriate.
I did not know it was an option.

So you’re telling me you shell out a shit-ton of money for Conte, during the hiring process you presumably agree with him when he says the squad needs improvement/promise funds for recruitment, and then after all that you go crawling to Joe asking for more money because that wasn’t mentioned previously to him?

Yeah I know, but it’s Spurs and I often feel over the years that on the football side at least we are often merely trying to wing it.

I’ve never heard it before. Genuinely never heard a ‘penny drop’ joke aimed at Jewish people but that might say more about my ignorance than the prevalence of the joke? Could you signpost me to the social usage of this joke and its
use to attack Jewish communities- I’m genuinely interested? Perhaps a PM instead of here? Thanks
It wasn’t the penny dropping but reference to picking it up. Apologies if over reacting but references to Jews picking up pennies is a thing. Appreciate not what u intended at all. ? would pm but afraid not sure how.

I can't comment on the financial side of things(how things are financed) as that's not my circle. I'm not knocking D1's info and it's very clear he gets some solid info. What I will say is that it almost always imo comes with an anti Levy/Enic slant on it. Now that might be him or it might be his source, but it's definitely something to keep in mind when processing his posts.

Mate, I didn't see it as anything anti-semetic, just a joke about Levy being tighter than a Scotsman. :cautious:

Massive offence taken.

** I will insert here a long winded paragraph of complaining where I presume your intention and go on to verbally desecrate your name, at a future time of my choosing ***

I’m not sure what is news here.

ENIC has never put money into the club (see chart below from Swiss Ramble. Moreover, in the unlikely event of Joe Lewis being willing to put in more funds, Levy would object because he could not afford to put in matching funds and won’t want his shareholding to be diluted.

It’s also not news that at some point ENIC will want to sell out. A huge proportion of Levy’s wealth is tied up in Spurs, he’s not getting any younger and at some point he’ll want to take his money out, set up his family and retire.

I doubt retirement is of any interest to DL. Guys like him who work, what must be, 12-15 hour days aren't capable of it. If anything, he's spent a huge amount of time and energy getting to the precipice of something (hopefully) great, so will no doubt have lots of energy for that now the stadium project is wrapped up.

Ideally, COVID wouldn't be a thing and we'd have something extra from concerts and a missing season of concessions, but the second best thing is to get in a Srivaddhanaprabha-type owner who will enjoy owning the club. There's a real opportunity for someone to come in with the right connections and tie up a naming rights deal there, too.

That’s why I stick to in-house itk; ValenciaYid and a few Italians; plus my reputable source; which I share with Rob & A&C. Otherwise - for me - the net gets spread too wide & too thinly and I drift along the sea of BS. Thanks as per for the share

True, but you can't just terminate without the other party's agreement and compensation. But he really is a disgrace now and I wonder if there's some way of taking him to court in any settlement for being unable to do his job!

Now that's an idea!

Tried to sound out my source on several things going on within the club and all I got in reply was ?.

I probed for some more information but again the reply was ???.

Although this post looks pretty pointless as I'm not bringing any information to the table, my source is usually open to sharing certain info and the fact they won't say anything speaks volumes.

My personal opinion from previous conversations and today's exchange is there are a lot of exciting things going on behind the scenes that are currently very sensitive.

As I've stated previously, believe it or not but Conte will be backed and as others have mentioned, "the penny has finally dropped".

I for one am very excited for what's to come ?
Or maybe he just doesn't want to talk to you :cautious:

Dragons info sounds familiar. Not only basend on his snippet I feel there wont be much business in the winter:

- difficult
- price not met
- better value in summer
- can not offload our players

Prove me wrong Spurs, please
We didn't need a striker Moura and Son can play there. Forgot to add that to tbe list....

The pessimist/spurs fan in me worries this is because shit has hit the fan between the board and Conte!

Hopefully it is a good thing though. The squad clearly needs serious improvement and Conte deserves backing.

and limits gain
Sure does. The equity they have already created makes it ultimately "plus" money any way you look at it. At their age, they may be just trying to rebalance their risk. I would think it is a smart move especially if they don't lose control of the business (assuming they still want to retain control). They have taken the club's value pretty far.

Perfectly sums us up as a club
