Not getting the negs for this one.

I can't think of that many better midfielders in the deep lying position out there right now. And a pre-contract on a free is a no-brainer in my book.

And for once, I actually have faith in our manager to improve anyone we go after and bring him up to Premier league speed.

Tbf, I think a lot of people’s impression of Kessie will be his performances against Liverpool in particular in the Champions League this season where he didn’t perform particularly well. He’s been outstanding overall for Milan though and is one of the big reasons they’re back in the Champions League in the first place.

The same people hold TND in high regard with his European performance vs City, so we should take one game performance with a pinch of salt.

And an underrated aspect of his game, he's a penalty specialist, we have one and it's a bit iffy if Kane is off, it fills two holes we need.

Pretty sure Son would want to take peno's if Kane left. Would add half a dozen goals to his tally every season.

No brainer taking him on free. Even if he is not good we can always get at least 10m for him.

I really don't understand peoples' hesitancy over him. He's only 25 and widely regarded to be one of the best midfielders in Italy.
Maybe we're getting a bit carried away now because we believe that Paratici and Conte are going to attract Mbappe and Haaland.

All most of us are going by is what we've read or having watched a few matches or highlights.

From what I have read, he was a driving force in their midfield for a couple of seasons. Then when he had a year left on his contract he downed sticks.

So it seems he has ability but there's a question mark over his attitude. I remain on the fence as I have no real idea about him.

I think on a free it makes sense. We can’t keep going with hojberg winks and skipp as the only choices for that two man midfield. Winks for me doesn’t have the physicality to play there against a number of teams and we have already seen the likes of ndombele having to drop into that role. Unfortunately we, like everyone in modern football need a kante and there is only one.
