There's a reason why we went for Medes puppets (Mourinho, Nuno, Gattuso). Conte was a plan B if shit hits the fan since he is great and has history with Paratici. He will get new players, just probably not in this transfer window, except maybe Traore.

I understand the sentiment here, but you have to consider the other factors involved. This is not our first rodeo. We've been here several times before. We are desperately short in several areas and you would have hoped that the club would have a strategy and plan to land some much needed targets early on, especially given how big a month this is and how Son is now also injured.

I do agree that people overreact, but there is a degree of truth in it and i understand and also agree with that frustration.

On the flip side, it is also not helpful when people make light of the lack of business being done and continuously reply to the frustrations with comments like "Chill, there's plenty of time". It doesn't help.

I never said "there's plenty of time".

We might not sign anyone - deal with it.

Will it annoy me? Yes, slightly. I've supported this club since I was born 47 years ago.

Does it affect my day to day life? Not so much anymore.

It's obvious that FP won't be signing players AC doesn't want.

If that means we go for cheaper, more underwhelming or short-term options such as Traore, Lingard, De Keteleare, Eriksen, freeing up funds to go big on players who are out of contract in the summer (Kessie, Dembele, Dybala, whoever) then so be it.

We need fresh blood in the squad, that's obvious. If Conte thinks the likes of Traore or Eriksen or Lingard can do a job for him over the next 6 months before we're able to get any big guns in, then that's what we should do. We can't go on relying on Dele and Ndombele as our options.

All ITK points towards us actively moving for the types of players listed above as we speak. Everyone needs to calm their fucking tits.

People need to calm down, seriously! January is a very difficult month to do deals. Paratici is known for leaving things to last week of window in January as this is the best time to get the best deals. So many clubs will be desperate to sell and buy or loan at end of window. Paratici only been there 6 months and conte a few months, let's give Paratici more time to sort out the mess that's accumulated due to previous bad recruitment. I think many here are suffering from transfer window PTSD.

This is the narrative I just don’t get, it’s not personal at all, but you have absolutely no idea (neither do I) what’s going on behind the scenes, we aren’t even half way through the window either.

All ITK has indicated that Conte is fully aware of the situation and okay with it, nothing to indicate he is unhappy after a month or so, Levy or the structure can be called what ever you like, but I don’t believe for a second that a chairman would lie so blatantly just to recruit a manager and hope he stays happy - it would have all been discussed and agreed ahead of an appointment - I’ve been in enough exec level business meetings to know how a normal business will operate, and I can’t imagine it’s too dissimilar at a football club (I was in the F1 industry so lots of cross overs in terms of elite sport and big money).

I’d say chill, it’s a process we gotta get through, these things aren’t simple and I really wouldn’t compare us to other clubs doing business either as I don’t think they can be compared to us (ala Newcastle).
