I would imagine January is a better time to offload players as not many teams want to sell their good players and other desperate teams are looking to buy themselves out of trouble (Newcastle).

It’s good that there are interest in our players but they still need to want to go there. Hence why shifting deadwood is more important than adding more than Traore.

For worries about CM and backup ST, our 2 other priorities; we should be able to manage our forward options with Kane, Son, Lucas, Bergwijn, Traore till end of season.

Winks Skipp Hoijberg may be a bit light; hence why our out options have included CM squad rotation players. Could we recall Sarr early?

Tanguy, we would have been stuck with him if PSG hadn’t showed up. Can’t see him wanting a Roma or Fiorentina. So we need to get this through regardless and let’s see what FP manages to negotiate.

Dele - it depends on how much he wants to reignite his career. It’s whether he’s happy to walk into the first xi of a lower placed club, at reduced wages or is he adamant on status quo with his wages, pricing himself out of most teams that do want or need him, bar Newcastle, maybe Everton.

GLC - actually in a World Cup year, Gio would probably take more first team football in familiar environment and Spanish clubs know about him, so in fact, I believe Gio might be the easiest of the 3 to shift.

Rodon sounds like a deadline day loan to one of the prem strugglers, especially those dealing with injury crises.

The “easy/easier” part may be getting them out, especially if on loan. FP’s real challenge is the obligation to buy. Otherwise, we are just kicking the can down the road to summer.

Tanganga’s agent on SSN. Says Japhet turned down Gala last year and when asked whether any truth in the link to AC Milan he said “due to the recent successes of English players going to Serie A, it is normal for clubs to look in the English market”. Wouldn’t give specifics

Got to admit I'm a little confused? Are the other 2 that we want (assuming Traore is done) dependent on us shifting Ndombele, GLC and Dele?

Traore in with Dele and Tanguy out would be a decent window. Not great by any means but probably the best we can hope for. I would rather keep Lo Celso than sign some of the players we've been linked too. Rather wait for someone better in the summer if we can't get the likes of Kessie, Wijnaldum or Mckennie now.

Did Trix say we're looking at free agents in the summer? Bale and Modric are out of contract this summer.... Offer them the wages of GLC, Ndom & Dele. Short term world class quality. Luka has been tearing it up at Madrid the past few weeks showing despite his age he's still got it.

Not sure about that we are very light in midfield, we really need at least 1 CM.

Sure but not just anyone. They need to be good enough. No point having a player on a long contract who we need to shift again.

true but that means it will be difficult then to move midfielders out this window if no one is coming the other way as we would be one injury away from disaster.

Yes and no. I'm sure all three of GLC, Tanguy and Dele wouldn't be allowed to leave with no one at all coming in but all three aren't being used at all really. We could easily do without 2 of them without it causing any concerns what so ever.

See it every window. Can't let player x,y,z leave without replacing them. When replacing them effectively means paying them to sit at home every weekend because they never get picked.

8th richest club in world and cant sign unless we clear 400k a week wages.....

why shouldn’t the 8th richest club in the world have to operate within a set budget? In a world where FFP is supposedly a thing why are people so shocked by this?

Probably not a credible link. 2 goals in 19 games. Not super exciting.
Not necessarily. That's a lot of starts for his age and I would guess that those are probably WF. These are the sort of signings I was expecting FP to be making. Unknowns to most of us
