Scheffler obvs fave for this masters but hoping and praying Rory can give it a real go this year, -1 so far needs a few more birdies on the last 6 for a decent opening round

Painful watching Rory fighting with his game.

Be surprised if he manages to go as low as a 65 or 66 which is what he needs tomorrow without the leaders having good days.

I like Rory and I'd love him to complete all 4 majors, but I'm losing faith. Every time people talk him up, and every time he lets them down. He's still clearly one of the best players in the world, but it's the top two inches that need attention more than the mechanics.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rory needs someone better than Harry Diamond on his bag. Having your best mate is not the answer.

Case in point, the 11th yesterday. Watch Schefflers shot low and through the wind and finds the front right of the green. Away from the water. Rory balloons one in the air and finds the water, and Harry and Rory smile at each other with Harry saying what can you do.

Well what you could do Harry is advise your player properly on how to manage the conditions. At the risk of sounding like Roy Keane, do your job.

💯 agree mate :( as you say he’s really fighting his game compared to the likes of Scottie who is just so comfortable

How long has he been on his bag? Rory certainly needs to change something although regardless of his caddie he needs to sort his swing out even his driving isn’t where is usually is at the moment.

He’s hit some blistering form over the last 18 months but not at the right time during the masters, as you say so painful to watch :(

Tough decision to make on my Masters bets. I got Scheffler to win at 9/4 and Homa e/w at 50/1, plus Zalatoris, Fitzpatrick and Wyndham Clark who have no cash out value. I've never done cash out before so do I ride it out or cash in and make a small but tidy profit?

Tomorrow is shaping up to be a great Sunday at The Masters. The top 10 is stacked.

Thought it was gonna be anyone's after scheffler's mini implosion but he's really turned it (back) on these last few holes and I'd be very surprised if he doesn't win from here. Some good players but not many regular winners in this chasing pack.
