Does Williams have a 3rd driver?

Even being the marketing ploy at some point Sargent being a horrid fucking driver has to come into the equation.

Alpine really struggling, sounds like Aston Martin are pushing on though (or whatever they're called this year). While Red Bull are looking rattled, we all know that they've got the potential to flick a switch and turn fortunes around, but look at Haas up there too - they quietly built last year and it looks like they've carried some momentum

Interesting Q1 and Q2 Ferrari showing they can match the Red Bulls, I think RB still ahead of this, but tomorrow's race could be interesting providing Ferrari can sort out their race management.

Mercedes not quite there yet

I have to imagine Nyck DeVries, who was also horrible, must look at Sargent and think "What in the ever living fuck?"
Toto needs to get on the phone with them. Park Antonelli there for the year to get some runs under his belt before he takes Lewis' seat next season

It's a pure commercial thing. Look at Drive to Survive this year, they spent an episode on Williams and the only thing they showed of Sargent was that he was a driver. Basically "also, Logan Sargent....AN AMERICAN, FROM THE UNITED STATES, is driving our car and he is A FULL BLOODED AMERICAN FROM THE UNITED STATES!" and then he is never shown again.

Between Williams owners being NAM based (Doriton i believe is Canadian) and Liberty Media being US based i am sure there is a fair amount of pressure to ensure that Sargent is in a ride.

If Liberty Media really cared about more Americans being interested in their racing circuit, they wouldn't be spending all this time gate keeping Andretti out of F1. Americans arent going to latch on to a shit driver(Sargent) or shit team(Haas).

Isn't that the F1 group? I thought Liberty were all for Andretti joining.

So Max .2 up on Leclerc and .3 up on on Russell, Hamilton not really performing at all, tomorrow's race is going to be a Max win I think...

Its less about competition, and more about having to share the same prize money with more teams.

Yup, I am always a bit surprised they haven't brought up the idea of dropping Alpha Tauri and Stake(Alfa Romero) and then adding like 15 more races....

Will be interesting to see if the rest of the field have made decent gains on RB tomorrow. My guess is that Verstappen will end up 10+ seconds ahead of whoever comes in in second. It's not like RB will have stood still waiting for the others to catch up.
