I thought I read on my side of the pond that Michael Andretti wants an F1 team. Seems he could just buy into/buy out Haas & save the day here...

Also, I get Mazepin cant exactly say anything & might very well buy into all the bullshit Putin says but man his statements have been baffling. Mealy mouthed word salads. I mean for god sake man! Even Abramovich's daughter has spoken out! Athough she might be the only person among the lot with nothing to fear

Pay drivers have always annoyed me, and this guy was one of the worst. If you’re not good enough to be there on merit, then you should not be racing. This guy wasn’t just bad, he was a liability out there.

I read this yesterday and cringed, Horner and Red Bull have been 'at it' since they became relevant in F1. It is almost like they wrote the rulebook for Trump on alternative facts.

I have not watched Sky's Duel all the way through, but some of the things said by Horner and Verstappen were in a similar vein and I tend to switch coverage off when they interview Horner.

You won the Driver's Championship, shut up about last year, get on with the new season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the sidepods are ‘gone’ after Mercedes’ tests in the simulator showed a ‘monstrous’ upturn in the performance.


‘It would be a car almost completely devoid of sides, the disappearance of which would have involved an imaginative but effective arrangement of the radiators, in the highest area of the bodywork,’ read the report.

The sidepod-less design has shown ‘impressive simulator performances, with already legendary gains’.

And it is said to be ‘disturbing’ the tech gurus at their rival teams while causing ‘more than one team principal to be alarmed’.

I will miss Marzispin...

He is like the token bad guy that everyone enjoys seeing fail. The road block backmarker that doesn't use his mirrors.

U are almost always waiting for him to be the first to make a mistake and hit the gravel trap.

Isn't the purpose of the sidepids to help the airflow through to help cool the engine and to help with down Force as they push it back out over the rear wing?

Not sure if I am right with that but I would guess it makes it fast on the straight but not sure about the corners.

With the under floor providing so much grip, I guess they’ve decided to do without them. Can’t wait to see Horner lose his mind over this.

Ah I keep forgetting about that, as long as they iron out the bump issue with it. Yeah I will expect a lot of queries/protests over it being legal and then lots of teams copying it if needed!

Not sure the car looks nicer without them, but I guess it's all about the speed of the car and not which one looks nicer if the pic below is to be what it looks like.

Watched the first episode. Simply amazing just how punchable Horner's face is.


The inferiority complex of that entire team is palpable.

I was disgusted how last season ended and totally unenthused for the sport but here find myself back excited for the new season, sound familiar?
