Nico Rosberg has been great today, hopefully we'll get more.

I think it would have been a great race regardless but thanks for the chaos Bottas.

Great drive by Ocon.

Great race today! Shame about the RBs right at the beginning, but Max did brilliantly finishing a race with half a car. Alonso was the driver of the day, his defending against Ham was excellent. Good hard racing. :)

I was just reading about this on sky sports.

They need to have at least 1lt left to sample, but he only had 300ml

While I think it's pretty clear I'm not a fan of Hamilton, I'm not layering any bias on this - I wasn't a fan of Vettel either, but I have respect for him for taking up a drive with a team he knew was never going to be competitive. Similarly Alonso (though I've always been a bit of a fan of his, tbh), but does anyone think Lewis would be so open to taking a seat in a car somewhere down the order as he gets older and the day comes that Mercedes don't renew his contract?

He strikes me as the kind of driver who will dip out and try his hand at GT or Indy car rather than drive a "lesser" car in F1. I dunno, maybe I am putting some bias on it but I can't see him being satisfied with being average in a sport he's had so much success with.

Either way, I think it really helps the credibility of F1 generally to see former champions driving cars further down the order and showing that you can still compete even if its not for a podium spot. Both Vettel and Alonso drove superbly today and made the last third of the race something fun to watch.
