Possibly coincides with the Ali Z info, re Livermore deal likely to happen. Came across a post elsewhere that said this.

"I don't normally claim to be ITK, but this time I feel I can offer something. My cousin (a gooner!!) actually went to school with Jake, they have remained friends, and I hear Jake has actually just purchased a house about 15 mins from Hull training ground. Could mean absolutely nothing, I'm sure his weekly wage would be enough to afford a house in Hull, but it could also mean that the player himself is keen to settle down up there. "...........

I'm NOT claiming this to be ITK, I'm fully aware of the sites that the moderators don't want us to use info from, I just felt that if I'd simply said "Livermore has apparently just bought a house close to the Hull training ground", there'd only have been questions like "how do you know that?" etc. Like I said, I'm just sharing what I came across, and will have no issues if I'm requested to remove this post. Cheers (y)

Thought it was announced at the time that Hull had an option to buy if they didn't go down?

I have no idea, mate. One thing I am sure of, is he's much better off there, than he would be if he were competing for a place in our midfield.

I realise a lot of people are knee jerking about Danny Rose after his error at the wknd but all in all he's done a good job when he's been fit. Happy for us to keep him and have someone to compete with.

No knee jerks, he was average before we loaned him out, looked decent at a lower/mid-table team on loan and has been distinctly average this season with the occasional piss poor performance, such as Utd.

Think they do. They could of course of course sign him come what may this Jan if all parties are willing.

Dont think they do, Steve Bruce commented about a month back that agreeing a fee with Levy will be tricky.

Could it be we have agreed we will sell him to them as long as we agree a fee?

Levy isn't stupid and would know he would get games and do well potentially increasing his value.

I don't know what the mods will think of this post but here we go.

Brian Lamela (Erik Lamelas brother) has repeatedly stated on Twitter that his brother isn't going anywhere. Just two hours ago he posted the following.

coco lamelaaaa ‏@taylaaporter3h
@brianlamela does erik like playing for spurs?

Brian Lamela ‏@brianlamela2h
@taylaaporter yes!

I wouldn't read to much into the fathers quotes because they are filtered through both Italian media and then the English media before reaching us.
It's ridiculous- his brother has said this countless times but the media conveniently ignore it. What a coincidence. The media really does hate us.

Jan window is crap . Any action will be saved till last few days of window for 99 % of clubs - can only see a loan in if we are lucky - crying out for left back and center back more than anywhere else

That must be why we're in for Lescott—two for the price of one!

I dont think we've agreed anything, well, when the initial loan was made anyway.

I doubt we will be bringing in any players just yet. If at all.
Very quiet and 3 weeks to go, so we will see what happens.
Depends on our injury list too obviously and players returning.
Maybe a few loans.

Thanks for the info as usual JJ.

The only thing that worries me is that reports in the US today say that the Defoe transfer is nearly done and will soon be done. If we don't have someone lined up I am worried because we will need to buy a new striker and clubs will bump their prices up.

Works both ways you know, people can lowball you because they know you are desperate to get rid to balance the books.

This window there are three areas of concern....

1) Lamela's situation...want him to start playing and be happy at the club. No loan or sale out!! The boy has class and we need this!!

2) if Defoe goes...it would be the idea chance to bring in a young (not too young) striker to be slowly integrated into the team so he's ready for next season and can be used as an impact sub (Europa starter maybe) this year.

3) our left back situation...for us to make a big push for the top four we need verts back and back at CB leading our team from the back. So if rose is struggling or injured we need an experienced/adequate replacement which will allow verts to remain as our leading CB!

is there any ITK already in existence or that could be coming to help suggest these 3 areas will be solved before the close of this window?

Couldn't that be your answer to the first part??? Stick Lamela up top or bring him off the bench for Ade or Soldado???
