So Telegraph aren't telling the whole truth then? Close but no cigar comes to mind.

The second part is just common sense really. Would love to see Sandro come on vs Espanyol, will get a massive ovation.

Spin that on it's head!
The ENTIRE MEDIA has got it wrong, the Telegraph and obviously Andre's mate Jason have reported a fairly accurate version of events. It's as good as we're gonna get out of our shithead media anyway.

I imagine 6-8 to go is about right (bae, naughton, parker, hudd, livermore, carrol (loan), bale, defoe/ade).

They are players that needed upgrading anyway other than bale but as a minimum we would need; left back, 2 x centre backs, creative midfielder, winger and forward.

Its gonna be busy.

Huhwtf?

I know. But, I suppose Burt can't tell the whole truth otherwise AVB and Levy could be pissed off at him. Slowly make it look like Burt is the most respectable journo out there at the moment.

I know I'm just repeating myself about Gareth, but he is not leaving so try not to worry about it. All you need to worry about is our current injuries lol

On ade and his brother dying (is this true), some african funerals can take ages. Through past experiences of people i've worked with, depending on whether they decide to catch malaria they can take about 2 months.

Not saying this will happen with ade. I'm sure he'll want to be back as soon as possible, unless some charity work pops up.

Hard to see us selling 6 and buying 6 in the next month. Especially as out targets / budgets are dependent on Bale.

Dragon 1 was the itk who got in trouble right and stopped posting for a while but had very good source?

6-8 to go. I guess the deadwood had to go and why not just all out at once. As long as we don't sell ourselves short for squad depth I'm okay. Shame they won't have any pre-season to gel.

I'd take month long injures to Walker, Dawson, Verts, Lloris, Rose if it meant Bale stayed another season tbh! :p

Not sure if Naughton being sold is actually on the cards anymore. We won't have anyone to cover for Walker should he go down now that Smith was loaned to DC. He may have been spared because we're dumb with our loans.

I apologize for the stupidity of this comment ahead of time (if it comes off as stupid) but could Sandro play CB if we are really in a bind??? I know we put Livermore there today in an emergency and Huddlestone played there late last year when someone got injured (can't remember which game - maybe AC Milan?). He is a wall in the CDM spot - would be he be able to play CB if we needed him to do so?

I think Hudd at CB and Sandro at DM if needed. They'd have to get through the beast before anything else.

It's interesting that both Mystery (hello!) and Dragon1 have sprung back into life these last few days after a prolonged period of quiet...

My interpretation of this was that jasper could be referring to vermaulen.
Good shout actually, explains the negativity, and we were linked with him a while back, can't remember if it was media or ITK or both.

Jan's mate is definitely Alderweireld.

They're both CB's, Belgian and played together at Ajax.

Edit: and it was a direct response to someone suggesting that we're still after Toby Alderweireld.

That's how I read it as well.

Encouraging stuff from AVB and the recent ITKs. I'm getting a bit concerned about club depth...need to get some players in here ASAP so they have time to assimilate. Don't need to be dropping points early just because of a lack of chemistry. Those points are important.
