He's hardly a club legend is he? The interests of the team come first; they'd need to be comfrotably winning for the boss (not Stevens then!) to think of giving Holtby a few cheers, I'd have thought...

He only started to play for Schalke for 2 season..... last year s a CM which didnt produce many assist or goals. This year in his fav position, he started brightly then tail off as the team form struggle with contracts issues unsettling the team. The fans are angry at him bec the club groom him and he decided to ditch them for us.... but at least he gave them time to find replacement and probably now for some transfer money. Schalke will take the money, like any rational Germans.

Now to sign Callejon........ then I am confident.

I would assume with Holtby's likely imenenent arrival we can probably wave goodby to any thoughts of Sneijder coming. Unless AVB sees Holtby as an alternative to Dembele which I very much doubt. Pity, was really hopping for Sneijder, just as much for his expiriance as for his great skill.

I will be greatly surprised if we bring in anyone else save for one or maybe even two lone players considering The Beasts situation.

A Schalke went behind with mixed feelings to the cheering fans. Lewis Holtby was probably his last game in Royal Blue. Everything points to a change next week to Tottenham (pays about 1.5 million euros). Holtby is one goal, two assists - farewell!

Its reported they want Coutinho instead of Sneijder so that scenario wouldn't happen. And personally I think you've been a bit unfair on both Dempsey and Siggy by saying something like that, they have both been instrumental signings for us this season and I think Siggy will develop into a perfect VDV replacement in the coming seasons, AVB needs to give him the chance to play regular first team football though

On the other hand if we sign Holtby 6 months early and add either Callejon/Leandro or atleast a moneyball signing(Long shots, but still possibilities) and a Sandro/Parker replacement and I'd say we in good shape for the rest of the season.

Why are you debating last years Summers TW to 2 potential targets they haven't signed. We're linked with a bunch of people too.
