OK, let's play out everyone's ultimate Fantasy Football 13/14 for a second...

Let's say Bale silently tantrums his way out of our glorious club BUT the Mighty Spurs march all over the league and snatch the title (I did say it was a fantasy!). Let's also say that GB enjoys the sort of pressured, difficult, "exactly why are you here, mate?" season many expect at RM.

Would GB go down as one of the DUMBEST players in PL history?

I just can't understand why he wouldn't want to be a part of this, given everything AVB has been able to do for him in one season.

Is GB's agent Emperor Palpatine or something?

Wonder if Burt did actually say, 'Convince him to stay'? If it is still a case where Bale can be 'convinced' to stay (ie. that is the only thing stopping him going, irrespective of whatever RM offer), the only convincing he should need is his present contract put in front of him.

I think we paid the half the outstanding in a lump sum and removed the add ons because the need the money to stop them doing a Pompey
