But they don't have a manager so I don't think anything with transfers and barca is true.

Just like a few days ago, barca said publicly that Fabregas wasn't for sale whilst announcing the Tito stuff. Yet the british press were using the fact someone having cancer to say the chances of Fabregas coming back are high despite it not being true in any sense.
They have a new coach look in gen football

Good Lord, Huddlestone I really do love you, but it's what is best for his career at this point to move on. He's still young enough to go somewhere and re-establish himself.

Also on the subject of Huddlestone, at some point his hair is going to become so long he'll be a pretty good big fluffy mascot. :bag:

Remy would be a solid purchase so long as it's part of a two-striker overhaul. Injuries and general lacking overall play would make me hope he's a backup option with also the ability to provide cover to all three wide forward positions as opposed to a first-choice striker.

Having Remy, Bale, Chadli, Siggy, Townsend with a couple of out-and-out strikers up top makes sense if we want to really challenge for multiple trophies. Which leads me to really question how we would use Lennon.

Back end of a quick pantomime horse ?

Soldado would represent a decent window by himself after our long wait for a top striker but would be pleased to get Lopez too. Ok he is 30 but a decent player with an average return of pretty much a goal every two games, which is v good for a wide attacker.

Him and Soldado and Bale. Ok i am getting carried away but begging to wish i had got a ticket for Palace. Of course it might al fall through which would be gutting.

LLM over on 606:

There is so much going on it is like a game of Jenga.
For example, If Dembele is fit, siggy will most likely leave on loan (through his own request), james McCarthy will still come in. If dembele is not fit, siggy will not leave and we still sign Mccarthy with Livermore staying put. Of course Parker will need to leave aswell but if he sits tight like Huddlestone then would we bring in McCarthy?
See the complexity?
if one link in the chain snaps it alters other deals

and

Baldini and the deputy Levy are there in Spain. You would have to say the deal is close because you need two signatures to sign a player. If we were just negotiating Baldini would be alone.

I hope everyone stops crying when we sign all our players early and there is no drama on deadline day.

With this signings (including soldado!) we will have a top top team!
We have a top 3 players in most position in the league IMO;
Gk - Lloris, the best i honestly feel!
Cb - Vertonghen, can't see better other than Kompany
RB - walker, although not the best ATM he is the best young RB and can still improve massively
DM - Sandro, hard to find a better DM
Cm - Paulinho, if he lives up to his brazil standard he can be as good as yaya toure hopefully
BALE - doesn't need to be defined by a position! Best in the league end of.
Cf - soldado, although not as good as van Persie or aguero as a player, he's a more typical centre forward. There to put the ball in the net and this is what he will do for us!

Add Sanchez to this and a left back (contreau!!) then we'd have a great European team aswel capable of reaching quarters or semis of
CL and winning the Europa this year.

Also feel would have solid back up in Dawson/Kaboul, Friedel, and attacking thret in Lennon, chadli, Townsend and defoe.

Would like us to sign some youth players
For the future including English talents like will hughes

So good a team that we can play against 11 with only 7 players :)

I've got an idea then... Levy lower your valuations.

I hope to God that Lopez link is not true. Why we wouldn't take that same amount of money and invest it in a long-term striker is beyond me.

Sorry but I do not believe this. Sigurdsson is an AVB purchase and he can play wing forward or fill in in central midfield. That's 5 positions he can fill and we may have 60+ games to play this season. Remember how out on our feet we were against Basel? We need players like Sigurdsson to come in and start 15-20 games this season whether it be in the FA cup, Europa league or the league.

I really rate Sigurdsson but I can understand him wanting to leave on a loan if he's not getting enough first team football, as in this stage of his development he really needs to be playing week in and week out.

Really can't understand what we want with McCarthy when we have so many midfielders already though. I guess it all depends on valuation and if Levy thinks he can get a good deal we'll make money off of. I suspect that was the case with both Sigurdsson and Holtby to be honest.
