Kudos to Daniel Levy, who heeded Josè advice and took advantage, or get left behind. Without Josè we could not of done the dual Real Madrid deals. He played a big part with his links and friendships at boardroom level there. Kudos to DL listening, stepping back a lot (though still heavily involved) and let his new charges, including Birch engineer things. Do not in any way underestimate Steve Hitchen’s influence. COYS!!!

I suspect that, without Mourinho, neither of the Mendes players would've happened either, or certainly not on such good deals. The Vinicius deal was (apparently) so good that it even made the Gedson deal better.

Genuinely couldn't be more happy with how this window went, I've been extremely critical in previous windows. But i think we have truly given mourinho a squad to challenge with. And on top of that we're still in the market for a CB. The club has showed true ambition without completely breaking the bank.

yup, agree. It's as much how the deals were done/configured as who we actually signed. To do what we've done with the apparent outlay we've had is nothing short of phenomenal and puts us in a fantastic position going forward. Ideally you want to be at a stage where the squad is so strong you can just focus on upgrading individual areas by only signing special players in those positions. That's where we are now.

Someone suggested yesterday that UEFA list has to go in today? If so, that's a shame as he'd be very handy for those midweek matches.
