He'd be an idiot for leaving, honestly. With him staying along with the signings we've made, we are literally a better team than Madrid.

Agreed. i would hope that he would do something before Saturday so that the fans believe he believes in the team. Otherwise, it could be brutal for him.

We'll see if he's in the squad. The only reason he wouldn't be would be if he was off or having a strop.

Champions league qualification they said earlier today makes it an obligation.
I assume we already have a set fee if we do sign him on a perm? Imagine if he becomes extraordinarily great and we haven't got a set price and Betis pump up the price! All hypothetical of course, and I would imagine we have a price locked in for him regardless.

I think we are a Dybala type short of being equal to City/Pool but we will hopefully eat into that 20 point gap. Next summer we will get a truly world class player, I think we are so close now to really becoming a tier 1 side

I'm not happy because we still have eriksen. I want him out because his he's been acting. Lost all respect for him

To bad we didn't go for BF when dybala wasnt possible

That window effectively now put us in a position of only really needing to add a special player in AM/ST plus a RB (and even then Foyth may come good).

The issue with Eriksen will need resolving but it shouldn't stop us being in the top 3.

If there were no locked-in price, or any other conditions that prevented Spurs from making it permanent if they choose to at the stated time, it wouldn’t be an option deal. It would just be a loan.

At the start of the window the very clear targets were, Ndombele, Lo Celso, and Sessengon. Poch got ALL 3 of his targets, plus an added bonus in the potential of Clarke.

Daniel Levy deserves a massive dose of praise for backing his man this summer and i hope he bloody well gets it in spades.

I am stuck in a WhatsApp group with mates who have bitched and moaned all summer, there have been hundreds between here and Twitter doing it too. Throwing out the usual clichèd shite:

"We're never gonna sign anyone again"
See above.

"This club is going nowhere while he is still in charge"
Yep. I mean he has only secured us, what is universally agreed as, one of the world's best stadiums, and training grounds, admired all over.

"Same old shit.....leaving it to the last minute Levy.....JUST PAY THE EXTRA 10 MILLION!"
It's widely reported that Ndombele and Lo Celso wouldn't be sold by their clubs for less than 70 million.......we paid roughly 55 million each? Sessengon surely less than quoted too......That's at least 30 million saved that was obviously put towards the cost of a Dybala.
It evidently was not Levy's doing that it didn't quite get over the line. United waited all summer and STILL overpaid on Maguire.....Levy waits for a reason....he gets the best deal he possibly can to give us more options.

Yes, he is not perfect, far from it. I am no Levy fanboy who thinks he can do no wrong (as much as this post suggests otherwise). He frustrates the life out of me every window, but I try to understand his methods and take the positives from them.
Could he move a bit quicker?
Maybe, but I tried to explain that above.
Is he tight?
Debatable, and you all, rightly, have your opinions. I think he simply runs our financials prudently and puts us on sound and secure foundations, to the best of his ability.

I apologise for this long winded post, but, I've just found myself gradually getting angrier as this window went on; at the ludicrously negative outbursts from some who simply don't have the patience, nor understanding, of how complicated multi-million pound deals can be.

And the final straw for me was the outrageous #LevyOut and #BackPoch hash tags that trended on Twitter recently. It was the 1st time in a long, long time that I was actually embarrassed as a Spurs supporter. It dropped us to the level of those the other side or North London.

Let's not forget how far Daniel Levy has brought this club in twenty years, and hopefully, the best manager we've had in my lifetime will also appreciate his efforts tonight and feel he is in the right place to take us even further.

Apologies again, COYS (y)

Yeah agreed, although not sure how confident I'd be of us doing something in January. Could see us getting a RB then possibly, but would be surprised if we make a big signing in the attacking position. Would love to be wrong! We do know we have that Dybala money sitting there though at least.

At least the centre of midfield is pretty much sorted, just really hope we don't wait too long to add the missing pieces.

Levy did his job this window. Can’t complain.

If CE stays it’s a good one and we’ve strengthened.

If he signs a new contract it’s a great window.
